The perfect alliance between France and the UK, from the kitchen garden to the plate. Enemy brothers agree to a gourmet ceasefire under the aegis of head chef Mike. In a cosy, friendly and intimate setting, the flavours blend to perfection under the eye of this creative Brit. Traditions come alive on the plate, with seasonal produce sourced from producers 30km away. He selects them with the utmost care for their expertise and the quality of their produce. Every week, the chef goes to the organic market in Bretteville-sur-Ay to choose the best ingredients. The 'Entre deux Champs' association also supplies him with vegetables and mushrooms. The organic eggs come from Saint-Nicolas-de-Pierrepont, the fish from the Cherbourg fish auction and the meat from a cutting plant a stone's throw away. As for the dairy products, they proudly bear the Isigny-Sainte-Mère stamp. What's more, the establishment has a generous vegetable garden, with courgettes, cucumbers, artichokes, radishes and squash all in season. In spring, this patch of land turns red with the arrival of raspberries, strawberries and redcurrants. Locavore cuisine par excellence. With his team, Mike sublimates local specialities such as pre-salted lamb from the Havre de Saint-Germain-sur-Ay, a real jewel of the bocage. Let yourself be carried away by the quintessence of Norman gastronomy, an experience that will delight your senses. Throughout the week, the chef unveils a market-fresh menu using local produce. The dishes change according to what's available and what's in season, so you'll be surprised at every bite. The menu changes every month, and every day if you're staying at the hotel. Each dinner is full of surprises, with a touch of eclecticism influenced by Asian, African and Thai cuisine. On the menu, the Wellington steak, an English institution, accompanies the beef cheek maki. For dessert, the sweet hint of roasted pineapple goes perfectly with the ginger cake. To complete the experience, the wine selection is also meticulous. The wine list features French grands crus and foreign varietals from Italy, Spain and elsewhere. A bold choice, just like the chef's creations. In the kitchen, Mike, this young Englishman from Brighton, transports your taste buds with flavours gleaned from his travels. After honing his skills in London restaurants, his adventures took him to Africa and even Asia. After a stopover in Cherbourg, he devoted some time to teaching before succumbing once again to the call of the stove. His passion is contagious and he is happy to share it, whether on the radio on France Bleu or France 3. His expertise has also been recognised by the Collège Culinaire de France. For those keen to learn how to cook, Mike organises themed cookery workshops based on world gastronomy. The most popular with novices and initiates alike? Without doubt the macaroon-making workshop, an iconic part of our gastronomic heritage.

Unreachable by phone. Despite a no-show on the first night because I had not received any confirmation email, the hotel rushed to charge for the 2 nights as a stopover without even wanting to understand that I would obviously not be there the second night!!! Pathetic and very unbusinesslike!!
Everyone is super friendly, very pleasant and calm setting.
Mike and Sonia are attentive hosts as well as their team. A former stud farm restored with great taste An outstanding chef the discovery menu with local products in short circuit top and it's delicious The breakfast also excellent just a very small regret having local honey 🤣🍀☀️❤️ thank you we had an excellent night the bedding excellent in short everything was perfect we will come back Thank you Armelle and Ivanovitch FETIVEAU
Magnificent residence and very welcoming welcome
Beautiful place, tucked away. Very nice food and wine - and good value
The hotel is situated in a beautiful corner of the Cotentin, but what makes it outstanding is the cuisine. we had a three-night stay and all the dinners were remarkable for the quality of the food, the freshness of the vegetables and the care that had been taken by the staff. It is unassuming and unpretentious, but offers Michelin-quality cuisine.
Beautiful location and delicious, fresh food
A big thank you! Very pleasant and relaxing place. Perfect service. We really had a lovely enchanted break.
Very quiet hotel. For a good night's sleep. The cuisine is refined, but the menu is fixed. The armchairs in the restaurant are not comfortable for dining. Bulky and the seat is too low. Difficult to pass your legs with the small tables. Difficult staircase. The room is very clean and the staff helpful.
An excellent stay, very warm welcome, calm, charming place and what's more the food is delicious.
Very nice place, quiet, pretty house. Spacious room and comfortable bedding. Very warm welcome and excellent catering.
Very warm welcome. Very professional host following a booking problem: free upgrade. Perfect meal in a cozy atmosphere. Discovery of the harbor of Saint Germain.
Large room, very quiet, excellent meal and breakfast, this hotel is worth the detour...
Beautiful, quiet place with exceptional cuisine.
Excellent on all points, I recommend
Very nice place Beautiful and good food Warm welcome Unmissable stop We highly recommend
Beautiful place, warm welcome, a beautiful address.
everything would have been perfect if only the breakfast pastries had been up to the standard of the services offered during this stay!!!
I truly lovely Hotel with lovely staff and a delicious dinner
Large quantity of dust under the bed Our dog had the bitter experience Breakfast not replenished at the appropriate time Ghost staff Restaurant bill not checked and paid for a large bottle of wine instead of a “little girl”
A superb building, an excellent welcome and top-notch catering, what more could you ask for???
In all friendly understanding, I was disappointed to find neither kettle nor herbal tea in suite 1. It would be more "hygienic" to place the roll of toilet paper on the tiled shelf rather than on the handle of the toilet brush. .. The stairs are very steep for people with reduced mobility. It was a little cold the first night in the room. And also at the dining room table near the glass door
Perfect ! Passionate about their work and the desire to always improve and do well. Listening to the customer and satisfying their requests.
Very nice establishment with a high quality restaurant. Well done!!
beautiful place, very spacious room, quality meals. Perfect.
A remarkable setting, a splendid "very above average" room with its lounge area, refined and sophisticated cuisine of high quality, all at a very reasonable price. And I would add... the very good breakfast. It’s probably one of the best value for money I’ve come across at Logis-Hotels. I hope to be able to return there soon.
Lovely setting and great food.
At first glance a very attractive location. Also a nice garden with apple trees. Unfortunately there was a lack of staff, which meant that the dinner was very late. And the kitchen was not that bad. Too bad because with a little organization it could be a lot better. Just assume there are only two fixed menus: one regular, one vegetarian. Saves stress in the kitchen. What was now on the plate did not meet any standards. Fortunately, the service provided an extra cheese dessert to compensate.
Nothing to say a house as we like them, very nice hotel, welcoming and helpful hotelier who do everything to make the stay pleasant even for one night.
Very professional and friendly - a great cuisine and a memorable stay in a delightful and historic part of France. Thank you for a fabulous time.
A nice house well located, quiet.
