Great stay at the Hôtel de la Presse! The location is ideal, right in the center of Bordeaux, perfect for doing everything on foot. The hotel is open 24 hours a day, which is super convenient, and the luggage storage is really great for leaving your belongings in peace. Clean room, comfortable bed, and the breakfast is also very good, varied and plentiful. The staff is welcoming and helpful. I recommend it without hesitation!
The pluses: attentive welcome, good-sized and well-equipped room, ok bathroom, central location, very good bedding. The minuses: the exterior and interior soundproofing is really deficient: for example, opening the doors with a key can be heard very loudly from one room to another.

Aside from the charming staff, the quality of the accommodation was very disappointing. The rooms were dim (the windows overlooked the wall of the building opposite). In one room, the bathroom and toilet were in the same room as the bed. In the other, the shower didn't close, forcing you to contort yourself to avoid flooding the entire bathroom. Avoid!
