Restaurant Etchemaïté

I am writing to express my concern regarding the lack of hot water supply during my recent stay at Logis Hotel Etchemaite. As the winter season can be quite harsh, the absence of hot water made my experience uncomfortable.

I understand that issues can arise, and I appreciate the efforts of your staff in helping me find alternative arrangements for a hot shower. Their assistance was invaluable and greatly appreciated during this time.

However, I believe it is important for the hotel to ensure a reliable hot water supply for all guests, especially in winter. I hope this issue can be addressed promptly to prevent future inconveniences.

Excellent stay. Welcome, location and what about the restaurant. The whole team is very welcoming, pleasant and smiling with all the professional qualities. We enjoyed ourselves in every way. Thanks to the judicious advice given the season we were able to discover unusual places in complete safety. A cocooning, sporty and gastronomic stay! Larrau is remote but in a lovely valley, great journey out over the tops into Spain

The only thing missing was the sun!!! Otherwise, nothing to say. The restaurant being closed on Tuesday evening, the day of our arrival, we were offered the half-board menu which was very good.

The quality/price ratio of the structure is not adequate. On the other hand, the restaurant with its proposals was appreciated, even if eating without a tablecloth is certainly not a virtue. The breakfast, on the contrary, was poor in offer and with the usual office coffee machine. Overall, it would be worth going there just for dinner, because spending over 220 euros for everything... seems a bit excessive to me.

We spent one night, with breakfast and dinner, at the Logis Hôtel Etchemaité in Larrau and our stay went very well. We knew the reputation of the restaurant and, indeed, the cuisine offered is delicious, balanced, innovative and made with local, seasonal products. Our room and bathroom were large, clean, the bedding was comfortable. The breakfast presented in the form of a buffet is very complete and varied, the products are fresh, mainly local and of quality. We warmly recommend this establishment.

This was a lovely stay in an old country hotel. The second Logis hotel on this tour. Both exceeded expextations for the efficency of the staff and food.

Welcoming and very clean place, Quiet and good meal

We are not big eaters but we still portion the food a little tight.

We travel by bike across France and we have had many great experiences with French hoteliers but the Hotel Etchemaite is among the best.

It's a shame that the bedroom window (n°6) overlooks the kitchen filtration chimney (slight odors and noise). On the other hand, the meal was really great!

Only 2 things are has been not at all nice. the noise during our sleep. One of them araoud seven in the morning o roar of a tractor and at 8 the noise of the church bells. But this don't depend of the hotel.

Great welcome in a quiet hotel, comfortable and clean rooms and above all a restaurant with fresh and local products

All good except for a couple of things that are the difficulty in being able to ask for information about the area and the almost non-existent cleaning of the room on the second day of our stay. Also at breakfast there is no hot dish, having the kitchen next door. Despite these details, which I express here for lack of another section, it is a highly recommended site.

Stay from August 12 to 15: What a great discovery we made in LARRAU! We were well received at the Hotel ETCHEMAÏTE by a friendly and dynamic team. The room is comfortable and well appointed. From our terrace we have a very beautiful view of the mountains overlooking LARRAU and we can appreciate the morning sun which gradually illuminates them. The second nice surprise is the cuisine of the new restaurant chef, in line with the family of this hotel. We dined every evening at the hotel and were able to browse almost the entire menu card. Good modern and revisited cuisine with Basque specialties and fresh market produce. A real treat, visual and taste. This new chef, as well as his pastry chef, have good potential to delight their customers for many years to come. The service is just perfect. Very good breakfast. LARRAU and the hotel are well located for visiting the typical villages of this region as well as for beautiful hikes in both France and Spain. Ask the hotel team for advice, who will be happy to tell you about their country.
