The hotel is set in lovely grounds. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is excellent.

Perfect on every level!

We had a spacious room with a king size bed and excellent bathroom. Restaurant provided excellent dinner. Prices may be on the high side, but you get excellent dishes there. Two small extra starters were for the house.

Would choose hotel again if in hurry to get back but are other more interesting hotels with a more homely feel in area.

The location while not picturesque is very convenient. The room was nice and quiet. Very clean and had all that I needed. The spa area was fantastic except that at the time I arrived there was no staff and therefore I couldn’t get a locker key. Again it was all very clean. The food on the other hand was a disappointment. Not because of its quality. But as I’m a vegetarian the offering was extremely limited. The starter was a small mushroom thing. Not inspiring at all. The main was a plate of grilled vegetables. I could do the same or better and I’m no cook. The cheese board was very tasty but small for the price.
I was subtly made to feel like an annoying awkward weirdo for being a vegetarian. But this is par for the course all over France. They just don’t get it.
Also I was amused to read on checkout early in the morning that all the staff spoke English. This was while I was trying to explain my needs, to a totally non English speaking member of staff!

Always enjoyable and restaurant very good

We have been staying here for a number of years. Everything about the hotel is perfect. Warm, welcoming and friendly staff. Food and accommodation are excellent. I can't say enough good things about it.

I only stay en route to the alps but the spa/ pool is a great way to unwind after the drive. The food quality for dinner is amazing. I would not even contemplate staying anywhere else.

Disappointing dinner

Staff were so friendly and helpful - we loved the stay and the food was excellent. One comment would be that our room was the down the road a short drive and we weren’t aware, wasn’t a massive issue but would have been helpful with planning.

The restaurant is exceptional.

A very convenient hotel 2 km off the A5 autoroute. The standard rooms are in annexes off the main body of the hotel and are comfortable and spacious. The reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Ceck in and check out were easy. Our room was clean, but had a slightly odd smell. The bathroom was well equipped with a good shower. The WiFi was fast and reliable. The food in the restaurant was very good with attentive service and a wide choice on the menu. A good hotel to stop over if you are en route from the south of France to the North or the Channel ports.

Used as a stop over on the way to the alps - fantastic to have a swim & sauna after a long drive; great restaurant (evening meal & breakfast). We will be back!

Excellent service, very comfortable - a lovely stay

The only present member of staff was on reception, the restaurant staff didn’t smile or show any cheerfulness. Evening meal was good and breakfast was ok. But the rooms were disappointing, not at all like the website images.

Val Moret is a very pleasant and hospitable hotel, well situated and very well equipped

The location is ideal, food excellent

This is the several times we have stopped at this hotel and we are always satisfied, but one downside this time it was cold with a freezing wind, the room was very cold, it lacked a bit of preheating and the radiator no longer worked. Too bad because everything else was perfect.

We’ve stayed here twice en route from Italy back to the U.K. Brilliant hotel just off the motorway with amazing facilities. The only thing I would say is that whilst the restaurant is very good the menu is rather limited and is expensive. Pichet wine though excellent.

This was a perfect stop over en-route south with us and our dogs being made very welcome. Very comfortable rooms and lovely dinner. We arrived too late to enjoy the extra facilities but we were so pleased with hotel we booked again for the return journey home.

We have stayed at Val Moret before on our way to the Alps. It is perfectly placed just off the A. The service is first class. We are vegetarian and the special veggie menu was exceptional

I cannot fault them. Everything worked fine. We had 2 grandchildren with us who, after a full day in Paris at the Olympics were tired but wanted a swim. We were accommodated in the Annex down the road to have a room for all 4 of us. This worked well and we swam both evening and the following morning with fresh swimming towels freely provided. Equally we ate well both ghat evening and the next morning. What was there not to like

We have stayed at Le Val Moret on several occasions, and always found it to be very convenient, with a friendly welcome and excellent facilities, especially the delicious food in the restaurant.

Not our first visit - and it won’t be our last! All the reviews only allow a highest rating of very good. The truth is that every answer would have been ‘excellent’.

Room and Spa nothing to say, it's perfect. Breakfast is very good too, small point of improvement, the buffet is quite scattered, I almost missed the hot buffet. For the evening meal, there is a choice and the prices are reasonable. However, we had some problems with the service (we waited a long time between the starter and the main course), one of the starters was too salty and one of the dishes contained sesame oil but it was not indicated on the card, the person who took it did not appreciate this taste, she was disappointed.

Very clean room and bathroom. Nice to park in front of our room. Also nice to have small terrace. I had some little flies in my glass of wine and I get a new glass of wine. The location of the hotel I appreciate the service. We had a very good dinner. We will come back

The swimming pool a plus after 6 hours of driving and the excellent evening meal we will certainly come back.

Our second stay in this hotel, extremely well located 1 minute from the motorway exit and in the Champagne region of the Côte des Bar - modern and super comfortable room - quiet location with an extraordinary view of the surrounding area

Very good hotel with swimming pool, very pleasant for families. Too bad because the night was very hot despite the air conditioning being difficult to keep cool.

Fabulous hotel with a great restaurant

A first rate hotel. The only issue I have (and it's very positive) is I can't think of any possible reason why this Le Val Moret is graded as a 3 star and not 4 star!

Catering is fabulous with loads of locally sourced products. The rooms are large, clinically clean and very comfortable. It even boasts a spa. For travellers it is 2 minutes drive from the A5. We have used it twice as an overnight stop but are planning a longer stay.

We were given a room with bath but preferred a shower - no problem to change but in future recommended to call the hotel directly to ensure preference is available. Personnel were all great.

Delighted to have spent an evening and a night at this establishment. Special mention for the restaurant, simply fabulous!

Room great but aircon is not available until outside temperature at a certain level so room was hot. Windows that open would solve that problem during “in between”, temperatures. Staff are consistently amazing, efficient, friendly, are genuinely wanting everything to be good. We were running too late for breakfast and they made us a tartine to take away with us. Highly recommended

I travelled alone with two dogs. The hotel is ideal for my needs as it is half way on my journey. I like the accessibility of the rooms being ground floor and opening onto a terrace and grassed area. Ideal. I ate in the restaurant and had the al a carte menu which was delicious. Service was efficient and very friendly. Dogs are welcome but my two stayed in the room. I have passed by the hotel many times but this is my first stay. I will be going back again.

I have stayed here many times and it is always excellent. Great location, wonderful restaurant and the indoor pool is a real bonus. My dog loves it too!

We have stayed a good few times before and always really enjoyed it but it was not great this time. We were in the annex down the road.. completely by ourselves and after a long drive you really don’t need to have to drive to have a swim then drive to have a meal then drive for breakfast in the morning. It was very weird and not at all comparable to the main hotel which we have always really enjoyed. No hot water either,just warm.

Very nice address in a nice environment. Too bad not to have been able to test the Spa due to lack of time, next time for sure!

The Saturday evening service was very rushed and very hectic during this meal.

The only negative was the shower which basically was a bath with a shower attachment. Would have much preferred a proper shower.

It was our second stay at val miret and still very impressed with it. We git a lively smile when we arrived. Professional and friendly service. It is very clean and well appointed and in a lively area. Will be coming again.

Expensive restaurant. Clean accommodation. Comfortable. Lots of parking. Close to motorway.

We usually use room 31 a luxury room with balcony. On this occasion the hotel was very busy and we could only have a standard double. It was small but beautifully formed and the large wet room with shower and WC was excellent. The room smelled beautiful and everything was clean and bright.

For the price, the breakfast deserves a greater choice. Not having had time, we will come back to try the restaurant and the swimming pool. We have stayed her previously and like the hotel and friendly staff. The hotel restaurant is very good, with food cooked to high standard and well presented. The hotel is located near the A5 so is easily accessible.

Everyone at Le Logis Le Val Moret is warm and welcoming. We have stayed many times and the friendliness, hospitality, good food, beautiful rooms are always top quality. Our favourite room is 31 but we have stayed also in standard rooms and they are also a delight and far above standard. The spa is so welcome after a day’s drive.

The hotel is really handy just off the motorway. Excellent parking right outside your accommdation. Very useful for bringing your bags in. The room was clean and well decorated and very comfortable.
The restaurant was clean and tidy with an à la carte and table d'hôte menu. The table d'hôte selection was fine for a seasoned French palate, but for the visiting British tourist (the vast majority), the menu had no translation and may have been a bit too niche for their taste.
For those visitors, I would suggest you stick to the à la carte for safety.
The breakfast was European style. Don't expect a cooked breakfast. What was available was fresh and of good quality. The muesli had chocolate in it. Not great for a person with chocolate allergies!
Overall, a great stopover on your way up/down the A26. Just the right distance from Calais.

My only real comment is inadequate outside pathway lighting
I stayed in room 10 and left in darkness at 06.00 hrs
The pathway lighting next to the car park is totally inadequate especially at the junction between the pathway from the room and the car park where there is a kerb which is not lit or highlighted.
Luckily I have only grazed my hands and knees but for an older person the injuries could have been much worse.
I have stayed at the hotel before and really enjoyed the food etc I will visit again but strongly recommend you have a look at the nighttime pathway lighting in this area of your property.

As always we had a wonderful time in your hotel. We love the room with the balcony ( No 31) -it is spacious, attractively furnished, spotlessly clean, quiet, it is warm and comfortable with good air conditioning.
We love that we can use the beautiful spa with it’s beautiful pool, super sauna, jacuzzi and steam room and that it is possible to book treatments.
The 1st dining room is our favourite and the food is, as ever, imaginative and delicious. The vegetarian option which I have had previously was wonderful as of course the fish and beef that we chose on this occasion.
The warmth of the staff and reception is always excellent and we are made to feel very welcome.

All wonderful. My only comment would be that it would be nice to have more vegetrian choices on the menu.

A quality evening stopover

We have stayed many times as the hotel is very well, paced on the return journey form the Alps and the south. The welcome is warm and friendly. Staff are keen to please. Services are good. Room are comfortable.

Our 5th stay in Val Moret. This time a little disappointed with the small, slightly shabby room and no parking in front.

Very convenient for a stop off to break the journey out or home. Nice to be able to swim etc... after a long time in the car. Comfortable accommodation. Good French food and a wide selection of Champagne. And ... an iconic knife and fork landmark that can be seen from afar!

Excellent stopover between Picardy and Savoie!

We usually eat very well at this hotel but I found that the current menu was a little disappointing. I had a starter of mushrooms on a square of very tough pastry. The dish was dry and lacked flavour and interest and was a mix of raw and cooked mushrooms. This was followed by a fish dish which was an unappetising brown colour and served with a dark aubergine mash. Not the best meal that I have enjoyed at the Val Moret but will return soon and hope the standard is back to normal next time.

Regularly frequenting the restaurant, we have just spent a night at the hotel and the satisfaction is the same, perfect in every way.

Enjoyable stay for one night and very good restaurant. 1) Spoilt by the receptionist who forgot to provide the necessary code for access through the gates to the Annex. She didn't feel she should apologise, 2) No information in the room as to what the telephone number was for reception, 3) a charge for "Animal" was added to our bill and it was fortunate we spotted the error. In my view the staff need re-training as they were complacent.

Just what was needed at the end of a long day’s driving

Modern and functional rooms were very clean and recently refurbished, including the bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed like one big family.

Friendly, flexible and professional staff. Ground floor rooms with distant views are comfortable. Tasty and varied food. Possibility of SPA is fine. Good location close to the highway but no noise pollution. Many interesting places can be reached quickly...Troyes, Foret D'orient, chateau de Vaux, etc. Beautiful garden to relax in.

In 2022 we stayed longer in this hotel to our complete satisfaction. We will be less enthusiastic in 2023. The welcome, room and spa facilities were very good. However, our restaurant experience was very disappointing. The service was disappointing, the hostess was not really hospitable and friendly. We both left dessert after the first bite.

Disappointed by the breakfast, too many industrial products, especially the pastries and cold meats. Service too fast for dinner.

We have stayed at the Val Moret several times in past years and found that this year it was better than ever. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The dinner was delicious- very well presented and imaginative. Service in all aspects of the hotel was very good.

Our stay was first class from start to finish. The quality of the accommodation, the environmental setting,, the restaurant service and food were all outstanding. The pool and spa was an added bonus. We completely recommend this hotel and will be returning.

Great hotel for a stopover on the way south.

The welcome is always pleasant. The smiling and friendly staff whether in the aisles or at the table. The room is large and the bed very comfortable. No air conditioning though. Well, I haven't seen any. On the other hand, there is always an unpleasant smell in the rooms, no ventilation in the separate toilets. And prices have gone up a lot over the past two years. It must be said that there is no competition in the sector. The meal was correct but a pity that the cheeses come out of the fridge and that the pavlova with seasonal fruits is made with partly pineapple and not peaches or apricots or melon. The breakfast is complete. But €15.5 is really excessive. In short, I will come back because it is the only hotel I can choose to come back from vacation and it is quite pleasant, but I regret these constantly increasing prices. I know that everything increases but for us too... I

A lovely hotel and restaurant very convenient for the autoroute. Particularly good as all accommodation on ground floor and my husband has limited mobility. Peaceful setting, pleasant restaurant, served dinner on a Sunday evening which lots of hotels don’t do and breakfast started at 6.30 so great for an early start.. Highly recommended.

Hotel is close to the highway, great room, but window could not be opened, toilet did not drain well and continued to run, very nice SPA that we gratefully used.

Impersonal welcome, correct room, average bedding, the bed is very narrow. Too bad to let cars park in front of the rooms, it spoils the view of the fields and the countryside. In the restaurant, they confuse speed with haste. We take a glass of champagne (at 12 euros) as an aperitif and we receive the starter right away. Then you have to ask to receive the bottle of wine, by the way, the wines are very expensive! The whole meal, a complete menu is completed in 45 min…. It is abused ! The very classic breakfast, and we are not allowed to serve ourselves a coffee when we want it, we receive a cup when entering the room and too bad if it gets cold before having made our choice at the buffet and to be installed…. I had never seen that!!! Too many children at the Spa, impossible to relax and rest there. Impossible access to the jacuzzi permanently squatted by very young children with buoy. Monitoring and control would be necessary!! the person

I’m reluctant to give a good review, because it’s a great hotel, very convenient for the péage and a reasonable distance from Calais (4 hours). If it’s too populsr it might be difficult to get a room!

The hotel overall is very well maintained. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The shower rooms are excellent.

We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and worked hard. Food was great. The local blonde beer very nice indeed.

Pour la première fois nous sommes assigniés aux 'Lés Caméllias mais tous était comme toujours. Une promenade pour achevér le dîner pose une petite anxiéte mais enfin sans problèmes.

In any case, ideal as a stopover hotel. Smiling staff. Nice rooms. Restaurant quite decent and unfussy.

Excellent place to stsy

Lovely room, super shower, comfortable bed and lots of space! The balcony was large enough to enjoy sitting on and covered again the sun and rain. The restaurant experience was very good indeed, with beautifully prepared and professionally served food.

Delightful all round and the big plus is its extreme proximity to the autoroute.

Very good hotel and restaurant the only thing we really didn’t like was the amount of flys in restaurant and they were really off putting when we were eating which took the enjoyment out of eating the lovely food.

I have stayed many times and will continue to do so. Le Val Moret is perfect for an overnight stay en route between UK and Alps. I would also like to stay longer sometime to explore all the lovely smaller champagne houses

Excellent address. I highly recommend. Everything is perfect and 500 m from the highway. Perfect for business people. Sports centre/swimming pool/jacuzzi perfect.

We were in the annex part of the hotel, which was a short drive away. Not ideal, and should have been made clearer when we booked.

Excellent room but a limited menu we felt. My husband’s starter which he thought was duck (magret) came with a barely cooked poached egg on top. Pork loin medallion came with corn on the cob, baby corn, corn mousse and popcorn. The other choice was asparagus in all its forms.
We were offered seats for two of us at a table for four. Midway through our meal, the young dark haired waiter came to remove the other two place settings and glassware to put on another table without as much as an “excuse me” or a smile.

Great stop off on long drive through France. Excellent spa available on arrival and really good restaurant on site. Staff very friendly. Rooms not luxurious but all clean and everything you need for a stopover.

We have been using Val Moret as our overnight stop on our way to Switzerland for many years. Everything about the hotel is excellent - the staff, food, accommodation, everything!
