I'll keep it short; unpleasant odor in room / noisy rooms / bathroom old & sealent edges started to color due to mold. Breakfast was short on staff… buffet ran out of too many items and plates/cups weren't available neither. Scrambled eggs not fresh, turned grey/blue'ish in the shaving dish

Rooms smell of cigarettes - we swapped rooms but second one was little better. Room decor in no way to 4-star standards. Cracked basin, peeling discoloured paint in the bathroom glazed screen, missing screw cover on bath handle, old screw holes in tiles, horrendous failure to cover up old tissue holder in toilet. On the plus side: v friendly staff; excellent breakfast; very comfortable bed; a champagne bar!

The first evening, it took 2 hours to get the temperature up to a reasonable level. When I left my room the next day, I asked for heat to be left in the room while I was gone. The hotel was in a good location with excellent car parking. The wi fi did not work properly. We booked a bedroom with twin beds but were given two small adjoining rooms.
