A very well located hotel, right in the heart of Saintes and very close to the abbey. Excellent welcome and very good, tasty cuisine. It is an excellent memory and we will come back!
Big gap between the quality of the catering (very good dinner) and that of the accommodation (room 9) Damaged lampshade. Little light for reading, for example. Noisy room: above the door leading to the hotel, little soundproofing compared to the noise of traffic in the street in the early morning. Mold on the ceiling of the shower. Furniture under the sink damaged. Traffic noise inside the hotel also clearly audible.
Hotel in the center near parking lot. Spacious and comfortable room. The evening meal and breakfast were very qualitative (before a special mention for the dinner which was really very good). The staff is very kind and attentive. I highly recommend this place!

Lovely hotel, very well located in the old town. Comfortable and quiet. Friendly and very welcoming staff, in a pleasant family atmosphere. Delicious food and good wine. Hearty and good quality breakfast.
Overall experience good
Correct welcome, spacious and pleasant room. Where it gets complicated is the bedding in the shape of all those who passed before so dilapidated and the noise from the street. Given that the heat was unbearable we had to sleep with the window open but the downside is the noise that we had to endure

There was a lot of noise outside and the room at the attic was very hot.
Very friendly welcome, top restaurant, especially the Saint Pierre a la bottargue. I didn't give it 5 stars because the bathrooms could do with some updating. I would happily come back and recommend.
I rated Reception and Services very well, but the reception was not very friendly the first day... On the other hand, the person who received us for breakfast the next day was very friendly.

Breakfast: stale pastries, warm milk chocolate. We also feel that the breakfast person is not a morning person. Rooms (not enough lights, especially in the bathroom. Noisy. Apart from that the rooms are comfortable and the meal ok.

The hotel is in a beautiful area - lovely walks by the river and it has an interesting history. The hotel restaurant was good quality and there was both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were very welcoming and looked after us well.
Hotel well located, beautiful facade, very good bedding. The shower room is a little dilapidated, the staff smiling but lacks a bit of experience, breakfast 9:30 a.m. max 10 a.m. would be better when you are on vacation
We made a great culinary discovery around vegetables and had a good sharing with the head waiter on the excellent Charentais wines .... delicious pairing of celery risotto and Talmond wine and a smile to boot! A big thank-you

Very good one night stay to cut our road back from parties. Good reception and value for money. The opportunity to take a look at the abbey. Only problems: the pillows which, unlike the mattress, were very uncomfortable (very thick and hard). A bit dated decor but which however made us choose this hotel rather than the local Ibis.
