We spent the night in a room with a very strong sewer smell with a huge bottle of room fragrance on the table to hide it. Worse, room fragrance sprayed on the duvet, always to hide it. A horror, nausea all night. And the next day the manager indicated that with her work she thought it was fixed. We told her that the best thing to do was to make sure and that this room should under no circumstances be rented as is.

A good hotel but food and drinks a bit more expensive than other Logis I have stayed at for similar or better quality.
Menu reads very well but the actual balance of the food in each dish was not as good as I expected.
Staff were helpful and attentive in the restaurant but rushed the service too much.

We chose this hotel because it had good reviews for its accommodation and restaurant but sadly, when we arrived we were told that because it was Valentines night, the restaurant was full. I was surprised that there were no tables reserved for residents or at least, when we booked, a response advising us about that fact. We were referred to another walk-in place in the town but this turned out to be a cafe and we went elsewhere.
As to the room (No. 8 on the first floor of an annexe with an external staircase), it was very small with no space for two people to pass each other at the end of the bed but had obviously been recently refurbished so the bathroom and separate toilet were both modern and clean. Unfortunately there was a very unpleasant odour when we first arrived and we had to air the room out by opening the window. To be fair to the management, the did offer me free parking as compensation but the initial impression wasn't good.

The restaurant was of a very high quality.
We stayed with our daughter and our dog and the whole experience was made very easy by all the staff involved.
Breakfast next morning was of a very high quality… plenty of choice and someone on hand doing fresh pancakes and omelettes etc.

Cheerful, cordial but professional welcome. Good quiet room that had been recently renovated to a high standard. Easily managed and effective heating- essential as we visited in December.
Good breakfast. Excellent dinner with an imaginative menu.
The hotel is located in the old fortified part of the town. Easy stroll to the main square and ramparts.
Parking is off street in a secure site just behind the hotel.
All in all, this was a great break; the hotel and its staff were just superb. A great find.

Ideally located in the heart of the village, it has an excellent restaurant and other good addresses within a 5-minute walk! Be careful though if you take a room on the street with the noise of cars

We had a very pleasurable stay. The rooms were generous, very comfortable beds, well fitted and equipped bathrooms, and good wifi. Only hitch was that the heating was unreliable, hot in one room (despite efforts to reduce) and not on in the other. Very helpful staff.

A very well run hotel. Rooms are to a high standard of cleanliness and are well provided for. The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast.

This is not the first time that my wife and I have visited this establishment. It is always a pleasant moment in a renovated setting that allows you to enjoy tasty and inventive cuisine at a reasonable price.

Fabulous hotel in a wonderful town, Montreuil sur Mer, with its nearness to the channel tunnel but significant distance from Calais.

Always a fabulous place to stay. Staff are very friendly and professional. Rooms are beautiful, parking available and restaurant and bar are superb.

Just an excellent place to stay.

We chose the hotel as a base four 4 nights as we knew of it from previous visits to Montreuil sur Mer and the location is brilliant. From there we visited Giverny 2.5 hours and Valery sur Somme 1 hr as well as walking on Hardelot beach 30 minutes away.
The room was quiet and very clean.
The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was stunning so much so we ate in the restaurant twice.
The town was a lot to offer itself and we would consider staying again for a couple of nights.

This hotel was easy to find. We were welcomed at reception and showed where our room was. We parked in the centre parking initially so we could be shown the parking .

A very comfortable hotel, with a car park. Centrally positioned in the town but the bedroom was very quiet. The meal we had in the restaurant was exceptionally good and very good value too.

Room & bathroom very good. Restaurant was full the night of our stay, but very easy to walk to the central square with bars & restaurants. Piccolinos was one of those recommended & was excellent. Parking was secure, but small for the number of cars. Very tricky to get into & out of certain slots. It was easier once cars started leaving in the morning.

The hotel is well located for exploring the town. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The private parking is convenient. Overall, l wouldn't hesitate to return although l would want assurance that l wouldn't have a room at the front where traffic on the cobbled road is very noisy.

Everyone is really lovely. The food was sublime. The room enormous. No. 31. No shower but a jacuzzi bath. Lovely ambience, comfortable but with little quirky bits and some lovely art. Montreuil sur Mer is lovely too. Nice to plod round The locals queue for cheese in the evening! Loads of other restaurants and bars but why leave the hotel and bar when people obviously come for miles to eat there? The Patio Restaurant obviously has a very talented Chef.

Electricity was out for most of the day (not the hotels fault) but it was extremely inconvenient having to get ready in the dark for a wedding. The receptionist was very helpful and kind but I am disappointed that we had not been offered any kind of discount due to the massive inconvenience.

The room was also extremely small with hardly any room to move. Overall it was quite disappointing.

Very nice hotel, in an old residence. The rooms are scattered around the site. Very warm welcome, very good bedding, beautiful bathroom. Parking available. Very high quality restaurant on site. The chef cooks local products with great elegance and imagination. Breakfast is served buffet style. Nothing is missing and even homemade cakes are served on the buffet. Brief ! To do again.

The rooms on the second floor are difficult to access with stairs without elevators. Welcome upon our arrival, passable and detached! Room prices are high. Parking is 10 euros. Breakfast is decent, nice buffet. Nice room. The value for money remains too high.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times and it has consistently gotten better. We were upgraded and had a lovely room and bathroom which appeared to have been recently refurbished. It was very nicely appointed and we had a comfortable stay.

Central location, kind and helpful staff. Use of outside seating in the pebbled patio was lovely in the sunshine. But electric car charger did not work for non-Tesla cars. Shame as that would make it perfect!
Bedroom - desk is nice & big but if second person wants to use it, you keep bashing your knees - stupid design!
Bathroom well appointed but needs a shelf so toiletries don’t all fall into basin!

Delighted by all the upgrades in recent years: the effort and expense incurred have been well worth while. Would not hesitate to return.

Unfortunately We had a 7.00 am breakfast and the all the cold products where not all on display and the staff member concentrating on preparing cooked food which we didn't think was necessary for a petit dejeuner, in addition the fresh fruit was very tired.

In our opinion this is the best small hotel in France! We love it and try to visit every year.

Hotel located in the center of the city. Kamers aan de achterkant zeer rustig. Mooie kamer puts prima douche en zeer goed bed. Prima ontbijt in mooie setting. This bijhorende restaurant serves gastronomy and at reasonable prices. Please note that there is parking at €10 per day when you purchase the hotel. Kortom, een heerlijk verblijf.

Great location, and a building full of charm and character. Our room was immaculate - simple, elegant, fully functional - a delight. Very warm and engaging staff. Although we arrived later than the suggested kitchen cut-off time, they happily allowed us to join the bustling restaurant where we had a most enjoyable, stylish meal. All round, this is a great hotel!

The hotel is of a very high standard in a lovely old building. We had a very comfortable room and enjoyed the evening meal and an excellent breakfast.The staff were very welcoming ( even towards our two Cockapoos who also stayed).

I would gladly recommend Les Hauts for its charming historical building with welcoming log fire and friendly staff. I enjoyed a wonderful evening meal and tasty breakfast. I promise to return.

We were given a room that had a foul smell. When we complained we were moved to another room which seemed excellent. However, it soon became clear that the heating was not working. For health reasons I wear a thermometer and despite three complaints at reception the temperature did not rise above 17. We had to go to bed early to stay warm. We described the problems to the manager the next morning and expected he would have offered a price reduction. It was not possible. Over the last ten days we have stayed in 4 Logis hotels and this was the most expensive offering the worst experience. The only consolation was the excellent restaurant.

A great hotel for a night to break the journey. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was a little basic and would have benefitted from some pictures on the walls, but it was large, comfortable enough and the bathroom facilities were high quality and very modern. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and fully justifiies its Logis rating of Table Distinguee. Breakfast the next morning was one of the best for choice, with a wide range covering both french and uk breakfast tastes, including freshly squeezed orange juice. Definately a hotel we will look to stay in again.

We had family members together, die op twee levels is. Een ruime, comfortabele, net kamer. Badkamer bevindt zich op de beneden, slaapkamer op de bovenste verdieping. Nogal een steile trap naar de slaapkamer, wat vervelend est, vooral 's nachts. An extra TV op de beneden zou de kers op de taart geweest zijn. Zo krijg je een zitplaats om you relaxen. This is where the clothes you are wearing are located in the opposite direction. Badkamer was recently released. Zeer tevreden puts eleven kamer.

The welcome is very warm. The room was upstairs with lots of stairs…my mistake. Very quiet place despite the noise of the nearby town. We have dined at the restaurant twice and are very happy with our meal. Excellent innovative cuisine with top quality ingredients. Also the service was excellent. We will come back. THANKS .

Wonderful helpful and friendly staff in a beautiful building

Beautiful old building, and lovely friendly staff. There is a lovely outdoor area to sit before the meal (which was excellent). Very dog friendly and nice quiet rooms

Great discovery! Everything was very good: very welcoming staff, spacious, clean and tidy room, excellent bedding, generous breakfast. We were able to dine at the restaurant. The setting is very warm and the cuisine excellent. We will gladly come back

My recommendation to the hotel would be to provide a small table by the tall mirrors in the bedrooms for ladies to do their hair and makeup. Although a good light mirror is provided in the bathroom it isn't always practical to do hair and makeup in the bathroom.

Otherwise a really lovely stay :)

Nice hotel with small rooms but opposite a top restaurant So what more could one want. The breakfast was also excellent and lots of choice.

If at first glance the hotel seems a bit old-fashioned, rest assured, it is not. Old buildings pleasantly transformed, with great taste and ingenuity

Hotel very welcoming in reception - staff here were exceptional however we had a few issues with a member of staff in the restaurant due to attitude and behaviour - unfortunately now have learnt this was the owner who could do with some interpersonal skills training!

We are regulars at this establishment. The rooms are nice and refurbished. The bosses are in charge in the dining room and in the kitchen and take great care. The cuisine is refined and original. The reception at the hotel is efficient and pleasant. We highly recommend it is well worth the trip.

We stayed for only one night but our stay was fantastic. We loved it and we will certainly come back.

What a fabulous hotel. Simple but very comfortable room with everything we required for a lovely stay. Friendly and helpful staff and fabulous food in the hotel restaurant. We will return again and again.

Stayed at this lovely hotel quite a few times and has never disappointed. Comfortable rooms and food is excellent.

Great hotel with an excellent restaurant. Lovely terrace where you could eat because of the wonderful weather. Friendly and personable staff who were very attentive. Extensive breakfast. The only pity we found that we got a room on the ground floor on the street side. Because of this we could not open a window at night.

Decent size very clean room and bathroom which would benefit from a couple of small improvements. The door needs adjusting to make it easier to open and an oiling would help to stop the creaking every time it is opened. From a female point of view a mirror, in the bedroom, would be helpful. As a ground floor courtyard room it did suffer from the misfortune of of having “elephants “ using the room above.
The food is very good but we felt the menu rather too limited in choice over 3 evenings. Although we were told that the “chef’s special” changed each evening it was only available on the first evening then not at all on the other 2. We were then told that it only changes once each week.
The staff were all very polite, friendly and helpful.

A new discovery for us... we were very well looked after, and the fact that the room was on the ground floor was an added bonus. Air conditioning would have been welcome though, it was a very hot day.

Dinner in the restaurant was not a pleasant experience. The food was good but the service was hectic and unprofessional. We were twice given the wrong food order. The person taking food orders was a little too rushed: she seemed frantic and not calm and organised.

Old-fashioned room and cleaning that could be improved (window panes not made, cobwebs on the railing). Parking at €10 per night undeveloped and impractical (remains of low walls, bricks on the roof that can fall on vehicles, etc.)

This is a fantastic hotel that just improves with every visit. The place the food and the staff are all excellent. I just wish I could visit more often.

The welcome is very friendly and the breakfast is exceptional. I only put 4 stars for the quality of the accommodation because I would have liked to be warned that the room was duplex, which is not practical when you have to go to the toilet at night . For the service in the restaurant, I also put 4 stars because we waited a really long time before being served. A waitress had come to ask me if I wanted to finish my appetizer by eating the starter and I had answered yes. Despite this, we still waited a very long time. I guess we had been forgotten in the kitchen. However, the quality of the food made us smile.

A lovely hotel in the centre of Montreuil sur mer, close by various places of interest. From the moment we arrived to the day of departure, the level of service was friendly and exceptional. Our room was very well presented and the restaurant and different menus were beyond delicious. There was a comfortable bar and courtyard to sit and relax. Providing you book in advance, there is a parking area which is kept secure. I would 100% recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for first class accomodation at a reasonable price

The stay was perfect but the menu deserves a wider price range.

We were on a cycling trip of France and Belgium and the town was on our list of beautiful places to vist. This hotel appealed to us more than the others mainly due to its history and the quality of the restaurant which was superb. We found the staff professional, friendly,courteous and extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

We were very pleased with our stay. Peaceful, comfortable and well placed within the town.

A hotel and a restaurant to recommend. Quality, welcome, kindness of all the staff are there. Nickel bedroom and bedding. Perfect dinner pupils and taste buds are delighted. Very varied breakfast served in a super pretty room. A great experience to repeat.

To find a hotel of this quality in a little town like Montreuil was a wonderful surprise. The building to start with is fascinating and beautifully adapted to be a modern hotel. The staff made us welcome and were helpful, apart from being too hot, our room was very comfortable and well appointed.
But the star of the show was the food which was exceptional. We had a truly delicious dinner, every course was delicious and a feast for the eyes as well, and breakfast was very varied and well presented.

For me personally I found the room very basic in decor, it lacked colour, the Bathroom was clean, but the floor got very wet as there is no shower door. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The Restaurant was very nice and very professional...

Really lovely hotel in a great location and the food was outsranding

Charming hotel in a historic site. The room we got was very well equipped, walk-in shower, large bed. We were surprised by the hearing comfort, the rest was perfect. The staff is considerate and attentive. The restaurant dishes flattered our taste buds as it was so tasty. Not going there is missing something.

Have stayed here 3 times now and always excellent. Lovely clean comfortable rooms and amazing restaurant
