hotel interesting for its history, it is the old buffet of the Velay little train station, see the reproductions of postcards from the last century
Very disappointed the room would need to be refreshed bathroom too
On the positive side: -the hotel and restaurant welcome -the really comfortable bed -the shelter for the bikes -good meal at the restaurant: original and tasty -good breakfast, quite a bit of choice -the efficient wifi On the negative side: -Presentation and condition of the bathroom really not up to what you would expect from a €97 room (old repainted tiles, really dirty paint, lots of stains, holes and broken tiles, completely moldy bathtub joints. In short, not up to the level of the rest.
Difficult access to the upper floor, whether from the outside or from the inside. Very cramped bathroom. Shower not providing a proper seal due to lack of side shower screen. Symbolic sink reduced to a simple finger bowl. It is also a shame that the wall paintings in the room lack care
The staff who are also the owners are extremely kind, helpful and professional. Which makes for an exceptional day. The rooms are old, I knew this hotel a long time ago, but the comfort remains adequate. Unless you have the means because the thickness of the walls is not extremely high. However, I will return to the hotel whose soul was essentially made. Nobody who manages it.
We preferred to lose the amount of the reservation than to stay in this hotel. We quickly left the premises to find a hotel elsewhere. The room reserved for us was located on the second floor (without elevator in narrow stairs). It was located under the roof. Attic room without any air conditioning during a heatwave!! Shame on you for renting this.
Breakfast is just missing something savory, cheese for example.
The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very nice and fresh. But the walls were very thin and we could hear activity outside in the hall, and in the two rooms either side of our room. The location of the hotel is lovely, and a pleasant walk into Saint-Agreve market on Monday morning.
Small, very welcoming hotel with very good bedding. We had dinner there and the meal was excellent. The breakfast is very well stocked.
