Some technical problems in the room: water leak and badly connected TV
There was no TV in the room, especially since it was the middle of the Olympics...
What a great time spent at the Ettenheim Hotel in Strasbourg.
Comfortable and spacious room, delicious and varied breakfast
Such a fun hotel! Part of a group of hotels… so check-in was a little confusing, but apart from that, we had a great stay!
The standard room is a little small if occupied by two people (1m40 bed), but comfortable. For two people the luxury room is superb, very large and a very large bed. Very good and varied breakfast. A plus for the staff who are really attentive and available to the customer. Hotel located in a quiet area yet close to the center. To recommend
No bathrobes. The instant coffee is a bit mediocre and you have to unplug the lamp to put the kettle on. A double take? A Nespresso wouldn't be bad. The TV doesn't work. Limited soundproofing for the corridor and you can hear every step of the neighbors upstairs. No charge/discharge parking provided. Tap water is not always very good. Make bottled water available? The fridge is not cooling enough. The sink drain was quite blocked. The shower head is excellent but the fixed shower at the top gives little flow. Sufficient bathroom but very small in relation to the size of the room! No shelves to put these clothes on. There are wardrobes but no shelves! No room service for breakfast? 10 a.m. is too early as a time limit. Parking information is not given in the reservation confirmation. Could we have risked not having a space in the nearby car park? The optimal access route would have little help in taking the best route. The mattress is comfortable but clearly very old. There are very very soft areas. The housekeepers came by. 👍🙏🏼. But they made a lot of noise in the hallway quite early in the morning. Enlightenment is good once you understand how it works. The lamp above the frame is not good at all. It is too high compared to the frame. The curtains are nice but difficult to slide. And so one ring is actually undone. The window behind the sofa is very difficult to access. The wifi is very slow.
J'ai 2 avis différents :
1- par rapport aux 4 étoiles de l'établissement, j'ai été un peu déçue : Nous avions la chambre N°9, et par exemple dans la chambre "secondaire", il n'y a pas de chauffage, ni de store qui permette d'occulter la lumière du matin. L'accès au 4ème étage se fait à pied, l'ascenseur n'arrivant qu'au 3ème.
2- par rapport à la gentillesse du personnel, son professionnalisme, sa volonté d'être au petits soins pour sa cientèe, alors là oui, le 4 étoiles est là.
Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé un excellent séjour et nous recommandons cet hôtel, bien évidemment
This is not a 4 star hotel, but simply an annex of a 3 star hotel! You have to go out into the street to access the services (catering and reception), located in a 3-star "family" type hotel. Some bathrooms are tiny with the WC in the Italian shower area! We had to pay 20€/day to get a room with a more spacious bathroom. “High-end and very stylish” TV with certain TNT channels missing (between 10 and 13), non-functional foreign satellite channels (jerky images) and a “services” menu (maps, taxi, tourism information, etc.) non-functional (white screen). No correspondence kit in the room (paper/pencil). No newspapers in the reception hall (1 newspaper in the bar opposite) A pod coffee machine would have been appreciated (instead of Nescafé sticks and 3 poor bags of tea from an unknown brand) Poor housekeeping arrival (a McDonald's cardboard mug was lying under a seat) as well as the next day (coffee cup replaced but the small dining spoon remained in place). Cleaning not done on Sunday at 4 p.m. (room free from 10 a.m.). Despite our remark from the first day, only one glass for two in the bathroom... Following our complaints: on the first day, a pair of disposable slippers given. On the last day at check-out, 2 free bottles of wine. But hey, that will never compensate for the frustration of the lack of services linked to a 4 star. Finally, no "Hotel Ettenheim" sign on the facade visible from the square (only the red plaque readable from 1m). Decent sweet breakfast but the savory part is disastrous, especially in terms of presentation)
Small, individual hotel, very friendly staff, within walking distance to the center, parking garage in 5 minutes
Excellent welcome and upgrade offered. Large and very pleasant room. Calme. Staff smiling and always listening. I will come back to it.

Great experience, very friendly welcome. The triple room is ideal, spacious and cozy. Excellent breakfast. Too bad our schedule did not allow us to enjoy the hotel longer and try the restaurant, we will definitely come back.
