i booked a standard room which was good. the staff were very friendly and helpful. we enjoyed the dinner which was excellent.
Excellent welcome with a magnificent English accent and without forgetting the cockatoo who addresses you a few words. But it is also a very good table with very elaborate dishes Bravo to the whole team
The highlight here was the restaurant - the food was truly excellent, with good wines too. We had booked to eat there on our first night, but it was so good we returned on the second.
The hotel has a state-given rating of 3*/5, which is about right. The outside could do with a refresh, but it's much better than that inside. Some of the facilities are excellent, clearly new and up-to-date, but our loo and bathroom were very small, even though our room was a 'superior' one.
We've downgraded the mark slightly because, when we asked for extra tea bags (having used the two that came with the room), they were not able to provide them, despite there being some in the restaurant area. We weren't able to follow the torrent of French - "nineteen to the dozen" wouldn't do it justice - but gained the impression it was a matter of cost, which is surprising.
We checked in in the afternoon for one night on our tour through France. Easy access from the motorway. Good parking space. Very friendly welcome. Very clean room, good bed, separate toilet we like, excellent - best shower! 15 minute downhill walk to the town center and the castle we visited that afternoon. We chose the Hotel for the location for the reputation of the restaurant. We weren't disappointed. Very good traditional French cooking at its best. Fantastic service, we were helped with our choice of wine to the dinner. Breakfast offered everything you could asked for. We will stay here again when we are traveling in the region. Thank you very much !!!

Great owners and staff, very welcoming and a great hotel.
We had a one night stay here en route south and we would definitely stay again. It’s 3km from Azay le Rideau so it’s possible to walk. There is ample safe parking in the grounds, the bed was very comfortable, the food very good (breakfast & dinner), and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Overall very good, some details in my opinion could be improved, for example a deodorant in the toilet of the room, a bedside table on the right in room 22
one night stay in Azay. the welcome was very pleasant. the rooms are spacious and the bedding is comfortable. Small downside for a room of this price: there are no small bottles of water available or Kleenex dispensers. Being often on the move, these are now small attentions that I find in many hotels whose rooms are less expensive.
Arrival in the evening around 6:30 p.m. in professional transit in the region. The welcome is courteous and professional, the room is very large and well equipped, air conditioning, 180 bed and top cleanliness. the most interesting point of this evening stopover is the evening meal: A beautiful, sober and efficient reception room with a view of the outside, a very warm welcome from the service staff, the choice of dishes is made on a tablet and the choice of the evening stage is in 3 courses, starter, main courses and dessert. Quality cuisine with well-presented, hot dishes, with a smile from the wait staff. I am used to business trips and stopover evenings, but I think this one could be in the top group. A nice, comfortable hotel for our stop-over. We enjoyed a nice meal in the restaurant & would certainly consider using this hotel again. The only slight down side was a very small separate WC & the bed was a little firm. Service was very helpful & efficient.

As soon as we entered the hotel we immediately felt at home. We received a very warm welcome, the food was very good and of course the room too. If we are in the area again, we would choose this hotel again in a heartbeat.

The booking confirmation of the house itself was very friendly, as was the reception and the service at dinner. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was very good. From the window I could see a young cook gathering fresh herbs and flowers in the garden for dinner. This increased the anticipation, which was not disappointed. I chose the menu with the matching wines, which were served at the table with the presentation of the bottle. Class!

Wonderful welcome from staff and room was perfect for our requirements. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, with good choices of both food and wine. Our only concerns: pillows too soft and bath tub a bit slippery when showering. But in general a top experience as an overnight stay.
