The restaurant, open from Tuesday evening to Sunday lunchtime, is the home of Chef Mathias MARTIN (5th generation already at the stove), who offers you a gastronomic and tasty cuisine with fresh and organic products from our region. In winter, we will reserve a table for you in front of a lovely fireplace or in summer, under the shady arbour.
You will discover the specialities of our region such as the famous farci poitevin, the kid with green garlic, the lamb of Poitou, the eels of the marsh, the beautiful pieces of beef "la Parthenaise", the vegetables of Bruno our organic market gardener. Founded in 1870, this inn, now run by the 4th generation of the Martin family, remains one of the finest restaurants in the département. Time passes, but quality remains
Very good stay, very welcoming and attentive staff. The room was not very big and located on the street side, but this is not a problem because the noise is well muffled and the noise of the road does not bother at all. We slept very well there. As for the cuisine, it is excellent. Congratulations to the chef who really deserves his title of distinguished table. The price is correct considering the excellent meal served. A hotel to recommend. I will return without hesitation.
more than warm welcome, perfect table service, a very high quality menu with only fresh products and at dinner, fresh and hot bread - but not reheated - an evening cooking with three varieties - to recommend without reservation
The room is spartan, but neat. The material used for the pillow and duvet cover is not our thing; we prefer linen. The restaurant and the food were very tasty and refined. The service was professional and attentive.
