The superior room is only 11m2 and the bathroom is very small. For two people it is much too small.
The whole team is very welcoming and helpful. The service is quality. The restaurant and breakfast are quality. The room is very good.
Comfortable and quiet hotel, a planned renovation of the common areas will be a plus, the wifi should also be improved. Catering with a minimalist menu and a restrictive half-board, no choice of dishes. The service staff very eager and present, too eager, the dishes arrive in express mode, barely time to put down your fork or finish your aperitif. A kettle with coffee and tea would be appreciated in the room.
Very pleasant welcome and setting, comfortable services.
We booked Logis Auberge de la Sélune, Ducey, based upon past experience, but were disappointed with our current stay - principally, because of the extremely limited, but hugely expensive menu. Of the 2 starter dishes, one was to neither of our liking so we opted for the Ancient Tomato and goats cheese salad. My wife is allergic to goats cheese and asked, because of this if there was an alternative cheese - but was told no, even though there was a plentiful supply of alternative cheeses on a trolley nearby, it was also stated that there would be no reduction of the 15euro price without the goats cheese. An extremely expensive sliced tomato salad! Again the main courses were very limited - I opted for the lamb dish and was told it comprised 3 types of lamb. I asked for "medium" cooked. It arrived rare and had to go back to the kitchen. The lamb comprised 3 extremely poor quality, small morcels of meat - costing 43 euros! My wife was even less fortunate in choosing what sounded delicious - entrecot steak in a port sauce. She asked for no blood. It was served as a couple of grey chunks of meat, which even with a steak knife, she was unable to cut. There was no sign of a port sauce, the dish was dry. She sent it back and although offered an alternative dish, the limited menu precluded this and we informed the restaurant manager that we did not expect to be charged for my wife's mail course, which we weren't.
Our room at 93 euros was somewhat dated, but was clean and comfortable with an excellent bathroom. In the corridor leading to our room, curtains were hanging off their runner and overgrown plants trailed onto the carpet. It gemerally looked like it needed a bit of TLC.
Unfortunately, based upon this experience, we will not be returning to this Logis Hotel.
hotel with charm and comfort
Good hotel, in a nice area by the river. We stayed in a ground floor garden room, which was of a reasonable le site and good furnishings. Overall, very quiet and comfortable. Limited car parking is available for a small charge. The hotel has a very good restaurant, but the buffet breakfast was underwhelming.
An extremely pleasant hotel in an equally pleasant location. The staff were beyond excellent - helpful and charming. Room was tip top as were our meals. Thank you
Sandra and Patrice are totally charming hosts and so friendly, they put you at ease straight away and are knowledgeable and helpful in making suggestions and sharing experiences. The hotel is in a lovely location with beautiful grounds and is well kept. Their food and wines are simply outstanding and all the staff were friendly and accommodating.
VERY HELPFUL IN ALL RESPECTS!
Friendly and professional welcome, delicious cuisine, view of the magnificent garden. Very easy access.
Vriendelijke en correcte eigenaren en personeel. Diner uitstekend maar weinig keuze. Hotel superschoon maar wel verouderd. Vloerbedekking overal in het hotel met vieze vlekken. Geen lift aanwezig.
A very warm welcome . Superbly clean , wonderful comfy beds . Great shower and bathroom . Beautiful terrace .
Amazing and outstanding gourmet evening meal . Our best meal for many years anywhere . Great breakfast too .
We will certainly return .
Friendliness and professionalism. Everything very well taken care of. High level cuisine. Highly recommended!
Perfect !
very nice little hotel with an excellent kitchen
We had an excellent stay! Lovely room. Clean. Comfortable. And a good meal at the hotel restaurant. Topped off by a lovely breakfast.
Well-kept family hotel 20 minutes by car from the Mont Saint-Michel car park, pretty garden which our room overlooked (as a superior room). Easy parking on the street. Friendly and efficient staff. Very good restaurant. Only one downside: the WiFi code that you have to re-enter every time you take your mobile out of standby mode.
Coquettishly outdated hotel
We were very impressed by our welcome. The evening meal was superb and excellent value for money. I hope we can stay again
Very nice establishment with a calm, soothing exterior on the edge of the river offering meals outside. Very pleasant, friendly, smiling, attentive staff, concerned about our well-being. Thank you
Perfectly, perfect. Such a pleasant welcome, that we are going to subscribe. Mr and Mrs Le Dreff.
Everything is perfect, even if the common areas of the hotel could be refreshed.
Only downside: small room
Pre-arrival communication was very helpful. We very much enjoyed our one night's stay and sitting in the lovely garden. The evening meal and service were top quality.
Comfortable room and bedding, the dinner was succulent and the breakfast plentiful and delicious.
Very nice hotel with a wonderful garden. Good restaurant
Very nice hotel with great service!
Efficient and attentive staff.
Great location, right in the heart of the quaint town, on the river.
Beautiful gardens to relax in. Nice to have the option to order a drink in the garden.
Good bed with good linens and towels.
Excellent restaurant and food for dinner and breakfast.
Room and bathroom a little small but served the purpose.
Carpets and decor a little tired and could do with updating.
Overall I would recommend a stay here.
Excellent as always
Our stay was adequate but could have been more satisfying: parking was extra, but probably not really necessary as there seemed to be 'free street parking' available. The dinner menus appeared expensive and provided no choice on each course. The reason for this was given as: "we only use fresh ingredients"! This didn't meet our logic - so we dined locally. Our room was pleasant, but small for a superior room. Again adequate, but not special.
Wonderful place. The restaurant is exceptional with a super wine list. The garden is so relaxing and the sound of the river at night is lovely.
The owners go above and beyond to give great service and all the staff are friendly
Very comfortable hotel with very welcoming staff and an excellent restaurant
I recommend this establishment both for the charm and cleanliness of the hotel and for the quality of the welcome and the catering.
Excellent restaurant.
As ever, a truly delightful say at Auberge de la Selune. Patrice and Sandra are exemplary proprietors - very welcoming, the hotel is exceptionally well run and the quality of the dining is outstanding. All of this in a very attractive and unique setting beside the river, the Selune.
Very good attention and attentive to needs.
A very warm welcome to an excellent hotel. Our room, the service and the standard of food was very good. It was our first stay at an Auberge and we were pleasantly surprised as to the high standard.
This is a very comfortable friendly hotel. The owner was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
The food is excellent.
what a nice surprise
Very pleasant stay. Heartwarming welcome. Refined establishment. Succulent restaurant. What happiness!
We have stayed here 4 times and always had superb service , superb accommodation in a very French setting . Superb evening meal and excellent breakfast. Strongly recommend
Lady on reception very helpful room lovely but slightly on the small side best meal we have had in France excellent
Warm welcome with caring people upon our arrival, thank you for this pleasant stay despite the rain
Very warm welcome and good hotel service
Welcome and quality service. Quality cuisine and breakfast as well. However, no announcement of the menu during the evening and no alternative proposal if a dish was not suitable.
The named parking spaces in the hotel car park are a very good idea.
Lovely welcome when we arrived and drinks and coffee in the garden by the river was just a delight. An hour to remember for sure. Our room was excellent and evening meal was just superb. Great food and very attentive service. A really good experience. Thank you Sandra and Patrice
Comfortable hotel, excellent food, lovely riverside location.
Hôtel très agréablement situé, accueil des propriétaires très professionnel et sympathique, une place de parking réservé sur demande digne des plus grands hôtels parisiens.
Very nice stopover.
Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly. Comfortable room and bed. Excellent evening meal. Recommend.
Our room was as shown on the web, not always the case. The position in thegarden was exactly what we wanted and the garden as a facility is underplayed we think. We have absolutely nothing negative to say about the staff nor the proprietor(s). The room, 'annexe', shower and toilet were very good. The dining was excellent and the breakfast(s) very good too.
This hotel is very well located and it accepts dogs.
Dinner in the restaurant was wonderful. We started with a pommeau and a pate. The asparagus entree, duck and lamb main dishes and a deconstructed Pavlova for dessert. We highly recommend this restaurant.
An address that we like. Welcome and quality service. All members of the team are attentive and very professional. Excellent value for money dinner. Very nice wine list. Excellent service. We were there for the evening and the night with family. We were pampered. The address is to be remembered. Very nice establishment. We felt a committed and invested team there: a lot of delicacy and kindness. We will come back with great pleasure. Well done to everyone.
An excellent establishment, very quiet. Charming welcome and quality restaurant. Parking is very convenient. Just a small downside, our room was a little cramped, which somewhat justifies the fact that we find that the value for money is not optimal. That said, it is an establishment to be recommended without reservation.
Very warm welcome in this beautiful hotel located on the banks of the Sélune river. We had a very good dinner and had a very pleasant stay. We recommend !
Excellent welcome, impeccable room and very careful gourmet dinner
Very attentive and very helpful staff. Unfortunately, given the weather, I was unable to enjoy the garden.
everything is perfect from the welcome through the breakfast and even the departure everything is great
Excellent welcome, impeccable (standard) room, very quiet. And the icing on the cake, the possibility of being able to book a recharge for the electric car!
Excellent welcome. Very friendly team. Calm and cozy atmosphere. Very pleasant room.
The Auberge de la Lune was a memorable part of our trip to France. The service! Patrice Girres and his wife run the place with such a personal touch. And the grounds are heaven itself. The room had everything we could have possibly wanted, including a view of the river. Clean, well appointed, comfortable, beautiful, great dining room with a spectacular chef--we normally don't eat at our hotel when we travel, but reading reviews, we gave it a try and were greatly rewarded. Everything taken care of--the normal parking was blocked due to construction, but parking spaces were reserved for us. Communication was excellent and in English.
hotel very well located pretty garden very friendly welcome we will come back
Excellent quality hotel, with relaxing garden, terrace, and very good restaurant
Hotel very well located in a pretty, very pleasant village. The hotel has a very quiet and beautifully flowered garden on the banks of the river. Spacious room, very quiet and super comfortable bed! Located 10 minutes from Avranches and 20 from Mont Saint Michel, it is ideally located. We were with our dog who was very well received, just like us! The breakfast is generous, with good local products and homemade jams.
A very nice hotel with a nice garden located along the river Sélune. The owners are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was pleasant and spotless with a modern bathroom and spacious shower. I can highly recommend enjoying a meal in their restaurant. It was a delightful experience and the food was just delicious.
Very good catering
There were major public works going on outside the hotel but we were kept informed of them and how to access the parking hotel so it was not a problem to us. It was good to see that a specific place had been reserved for us to park in arrival and the welcome once inside the hotel was warm and friendly.
Every thing was good and the restaurant was excellent.
Departure was smooth and unhurried.
Lovely hotel, great food and service , friendly and welcoming owner
Auberge de la Sélune is a very special place to say. It is a beautifully cared for and tastefully modernised traditional building in the attractive village of Ducey. The riverside garden is lovely. The highlight of our stay was dinner on the terrasse, and a very good dinner too. Magical! It is a great spot for cyclists with the nearby Greenway crossing the Cotentin. Mont St Michel is 20k away using this Greenway. We only did a small part of it but can't wait to return and go the full distance!
Very nice home. Very caring for us. Quiet hotel. The room is very good (great soundproofing and that's rare!). Very complete and very good breakfast.
This is an excellent family run hotel. The proprietors are very obviously committed to the wellbeing and comfort of their guests and are very attentive and personable, treating everyone as an individual and not just a paying guest. The rooms are spotlessly clean as is the entire hotel. A lovely and varied evening menu was available and breakfast was plentiful. The ambience in the dining room is lovely and there is a lovely terrace and garden which we were fortunate to be able to have our evening meal in. The town of Ducey is a pretty town, and Logis Auberge de Selune is an oasis among this.. we originally intended to stay only one night and journey elsewhere, but after a day sightseeing in the area, we decided to return and rebooked a second night. We were welcomed back by the hosts.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a beautiful garden. The parking space in the yard requires some maneuvering skills, but there is enough public parking space a few meters away (around the corner). The restaurant is a bit disappointing. It is comparatively expensive, but offers a very limited menu selection. Unfortunately, the chef's ambitions to incorporate current trends are not implemented with the appropriate skill. The promising “Tomatoes anciennes” with coconut and coriander were essentially unseasoned. The quinoa as a side dish with the fish was hardly seasoned and therefore rather annoying, and the beans (!) in the dessert also lacked flavor. The hall is nice, but the atmosphere is very stiff. It all feels a bit “out of time”... (Alternative: There is a nice little creperie “Le Ducéen” around the corner, where you are served casually and friendly with delicious little things.) The tip from the lady of the house, Setting off early (08:15) for a visit to Mont Saint-Michel proved to be very useful. Thanks for that!
Sehr schön gelegen am Ufer der Selune, all Küche!
Excellent service, food and location.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable local hotel feeling.
Noisy room. No privacy. You can even hear the conversations of guests in the next room. Window curtain torn by 30cm.
One night stay for two, an adult and a teenager, during a bike ride. Everything was perfect ! The welcome is very pleasant, the garden is superb and the meal a delight! Bicycle garage available.
A very nice hotel in the middle of Ducey. The rooms are functionally furnished and clean. The bathroom was updated, there could be more storage space overall. The breakfast buffet was small, but it still has a little bit of everything. The staff was very friendly! We'd love to come back.
Efficient small room. Exquisite dinner
Lovely local boutique hotel, very clean and great restaurant
A charming inn, a magnificent garden and close to the greenway which takes you by bike to Mont-Saint-Michel along the Sélune and the salt meadow.
A beautiful property and a beautiful family history. This establishment has a hundred of history, it is run by a charming and dedicated couple. You can feel and see the attention to detail. They watch over the old property, a beautiful stone facade with a charming shaded garden overlooking the Selune; a beautiful location near Avranches, Mont Saint Michel and very beautiful views of the bay.
Celebrated Birthday over 2 days . The hotel gardens , location , parking , reception , staff and food excellent . Came back having stayed before . Highly recommended
Friendly staff - only a set menu available on the night we stayed - no choice to menu.
2nd stay at this hotel. Very warm and personalized welcome. Great restaurant.
Dinner was excellent.
Delicious cuisine, very nice and competent staff, very pleasant garden
Room a little small but beautiful garden
Friendly welcome, excellent food, excellent staff. Looking forward to coming back
Very nice garden. Madame and monsieur are very friendly. This is hospitality.
Very pleasant, very well gzlegen, beautiful garden. Restaurant avery good but not cheap.
Everything is perfectly sorted, the room was clean and conforms to the 3* classification, the restaurant is very beautiful, its decoration neat and tasteful. In terms of gastronomy, the service was perfect, the staff took great care and the dinner planned with the overnight stay was tasty, and without any false notes! In short, a hotel where you feel good...
Lovely hotel. Friendly and helpful staff
Very pleasant stay. Everything is nickel
A perfect place to stay - the hosts extremely professional, helpful and friendly. The houses are embedded in a beautifully grown garden that is lovingly cared for. Everything is accompanied by the sound of the river, which runs right past the property. Our room was clean, the beds were very comfortable. We had a reserved parking space. The breakfast was small but nice and admittedly very extensive by French standards. We had dinner in the in-house restaurant - it tasted excellent and the wine list fully met our taste. We will come back in any case.
A very well located hotel, in a very quiet setting and the welcome is also very good
A very well run hotel the level of service was outstanding, thank you very much.
Very nice establishment with all the comforts, very good bedding. A big thank you to our hosts for the welcome and kindness. Everything was perfect, very good breakfast, nothing to complain about....
Nice hotel well located, easy to get to. Very friendly welcome. The hotel and the room are cozy. The bedding is comfortable. very good pastries for breakfast. We did not try the restaurant because we did not have the opportunity but it was tempting.
We came with my husband for one night, we had a very comfortable and quiet room with a magnificent view, the breakfast lunch was very good and the welcome very warm and very professional. We had a great time
The hotel is old! Carpet wallpaper stained! No cook present a warmed menu! Zero value for money. Flavorless breakfast.
A very good time spent in this establishment near Mont Saint Michel The benevolence, kindness, professionalism of the managers and staff were greatly appreciated. Special mention to the chef who prepares delicious dishes! Congratulations to the whole team, especially in the current somewhat complicated environment. We will keep very good memories of our stay with you, which was too short for our taste!
Home and room good. However disappointed by this carpet on the stairs which is worn and dirty in some places.
Breakfast very basic
Never disappointed excellent meal with local products. Quiet room and good bedding
The hotel has a character of its own. The staff are so friendly and attentive. Check in and out is very easy and informal. The meal in the restaurant was fantastic. The main staff spoke good English which was very helpful as our French is embarrassingly poor. We would love to stay again if in the area as we felt so welcome here.
