Simply furnished room, the office could be better suited to the use of a traveling salesperson, but lacks sound insulation from the nearby road.
The rooms are renovated with a simple but nice decor, however, the bed lacked comfort, the 2 mattresses not being at the same height + creaking of the box springs... no heating in the shower room, and it was really cool in the morning! To tell the truth, it was not warm in the room either. 1 good point for the soundproofing, correct despite the road that passes very close. The welcome is friendly, dinner ok. On the other hand, the breakfast is really very average, lack of choice, salty offer limited to portions of cheddar wrapped individually, only 1 white bread (no wholemeal bread)... only sweet yogurts... The beautiful view of the aerodrome compensates - a little - for the limited offer and the average quality of the products. Too bad all that, because I would have given 4 stars for the stay.
I have been here several times where the welcome at the restaurant was perfect. Last night the meal was ham / shell pasta with cheese. I found this dish very disappointing compared to the other meals I have had (mussels and fries, poltcheveck, steak...)
We have been coming here to L'aerodrome on and off for many years. Due to Brexit and increased costs we now come back to the UK a lot less than we did, but are always pleased to come here and will continue to do so.
Atypical place, beautiful decor, good food, friendly team.
