A typical French quaint old hotel in an interesting town. Like stepping back in time. Clean comfortable beds. Old fashioned charm. Excellent restaurant. We had a wonderful dinner. A very talented chef.
Great place. Period property with modern comforts. The owners make you feel welcome. Dinner was superb, as was breakfast, where the owners pride themselves on hone made items, eg, 715 jams, 6 compotes. I can't recommend it too highly.
A charming and attentive place and owners. Ideal and quiet location. Wonderful cuisine. A cocoon, I will return with great pleasure
Really good great English, really good dinner.
Charming hotel in a beautiful quiet spot. The hosts are a really nice couple. The whole experience is like a throwback to an earlier time. Very quirky and interesting. Lovely food. Very friendly and well intentioned.
We found the hotel very welcoming and friendly, with the owner able to advise on local parking. The evening meal was excellent both in the cuisine and the quality of service from the family team, and the rooms were well presented. The town is fascinating, full of history although the general feel was quiet and relaxed. The cathedral is amazing for such a small town.
The hoteliers do everything they can to make this stay pleasant and cool.
A charming hotel, very clean. Great experience at its restaurant, a beautiful gastronomic journey in the typical French Norman cuisine, really not to be missed!
Very pleased , will come back
For a (too) short stay in Sées without any worries, a warm and family welcome, a cozy room and excellent cuisine made with local products (surrounding producers) by Roger, the "chef". Only ultra-modern fanatics will not like it, otherwise yes to everything
Calm. Old-fashioned charm but comfortable. Attentive staff (they're the bosses). Exceptional breakfast!
A welcome and quality of care that is unsurpassed in our experience. Fantastic food and a meal full of little surprises and gifts. Breakfast was equally satisfying. Our chef patron even produced a crème caramel for breakfast and fruit and bread for our trip. He also does all of the baking for the hotel. Madame was impeccably attentive, ensuring that our room was comfortable given the extreme heat. It is hard to convey just how life affirming this experience was.
Super unusual welcome with small gestures that leave an impression: small carambars, nuts, raisins, an apple.,.,
Excellent welcome, the meals are exquisite, homemade, with quality and fresh products. Good location, easy parking. I recommend.
Fantastic food lovely hotel whould recommended a visit
Very pleasant hotel restaurant Very good welcome
Old fashioned beautifully kept
Just perfect, a wonderful traditional hotel that I first stayed in 43 years ago. The patron and his wife are charming, very welcoming. The food was superb, showcasing delicious local foods. It really is worth every penny
Thank you to these adorable managers for their welcome and availability. The meal was excellent, and the bedding was very good. I keep the address.
Very nice establishment where we are welcomed by real professionals with quality cuisine where we find regional products. I recommend ...
Very Nice owners and superv regional kitchen, maitre restaurateur.
We have stayed with the Logis Hotels many times in France and always been so impressed, so did not take the time to read the reviews on this hotel. Had we done, we would not have stayed. Whilst the owners were welcoming, the rooms were extremely old fashioned, need up dating, such as cracked loo seat, and the meal in the evening was not what we were looking forward to. To start with we ordered some wine, and twice we were given wine that was off. The story just continued from there.
We had a lovely overnight stop. The lady who ran it was lovely too
Very welcoming and charming owners. The dinner and breakfast were excellent.
Exceptional welcome, lots of attention and kindness Excellent quality breakfast and meals A very recommendable address
The accommodation was clean and comfortable although in some respects dated but we felt this added to the charm of the hotel and we could see improvements were being made.
The hosts were very welcoming and forgave our poor French. We were assisted with our case to our room which was well equipped and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. There were also some nice touches in the room and the hotel in general like sweets and nuts, fruit, hand sanitizer and bottles of water. Also a nice touch was items were also available if you had forgotten anything like toothbrush tooth paste and other items.
The menu for dinner is extensive and all courses were excellent. There was also a good selection of wines and other drinks. The service at the mealtime was unhurried and a very positive experience.
Our experience at breakfast was the same with very extensive choice of breads, conserves and other delicious breakfast items to set us up for the day.
Lovely hotel
In the evening stopover, very warm owners. Clean room and comfortable bedding with many attentions. Hearty and excellent dinner and breakfast. I highly recommend .
Room was extremely poorly furnished, gloomy and electrical sockets hanging out in the bathroom
Quiet area on Sunday, easy parking. Excellent local food. Incredible home produced breakfast buffet very good coffee.
The hosts are welcoming, very little English spoken but our French is good enough to get by. The dining room is old fashioned but charming. Dinner was excellent, very rich, but delicious with little unexpected touches . Great wine list. Not much on offer for vegetarians. Our digestif of Calvados was expensive at E36 for two. Breakfast is good, home made produce but again overpriced at E37 for two people. The only hot dish on offer was a small bowl of scrambled egg. We were allocated the attic room which we didn't really like and and didn't consider to be the superior room which we had requested and paid in advance. The room is small with beams that are very low by the window and almost overhang the bed. Probably OK for children. Two flights of narrow stairs with heavy cases is not good. Room 101 below, which we spotted as we were leaving, looked beautiful and I believe is the same price. Overall we enjoyed our one night stay but if we return we will request 101 and probably eat breakfast out. I chatted with the hostess as we were leaving and conveyed this to her before I wrote this review.
A little bit of a journey into the past when you are here! But also feel at home
Delicious food, generously served, clean comfortable rooms, friendly pleasant service - would highly recommend, do not miss the excellent breakfast.
The restaurant is perfect, the room is a little bit Kouale could use some updating
Ultra efficient check-in and checkout which is a big plus when you arrive late and tired and have an early start the next day. Good service and food was made with local quality produce. I was kindly given a breakfast bag to take with me in the morning even though that is not part of the standard service. Fully recommend
An absolute gem of a place to stay.. The hosts are truly lovely and the evening meal was just about the best I have had in France in my 25 years of living here. Great breakfast!! I shall certainly return and very much recommend this hotel.....don't wait too long, the hosts want to retire after over 40 years of owning this beautiful building.
Excellent welcome and remarkable competence in this hotel.
Excellent, charming couple, very kind welcome, very good restaurant, there is choice and quality
Lovely quaint Normandy hotel. 4 poster bed, multi aspect room with flowers and lots of soft lighting and table lamps. Separate sitting room area with a TV and bathroom had a bath which was lovely. The food was of a high standard and we were served several amuse bouches free of charge which was also a really nice touch. Breakfast was excellent with many home made jams and pots of preserved fruit and homemade fresh cheese. If I might make a few minor suggestions, it would be to offer a vegetarian and a vegan option as the dinner menu choices were all very rich with a lot of meat, cheese and foie gras. Also the pillows were hard for me and square which I didn't find comfortable. Lastly the lighting in the corridors and downstairs toilet facilities wasn't really bright enough to see and anyone with sight impairment would really struggle.
Very pleasant hosts. Kind and accommodating to my husband who has Alzheimer’s. Hotel very clean
A fantastic hotel
An address to recommend. Charming little hotel which offers beautiful rooms but also tasty and generous local cuisine. Excellent welcome. A breakfast which, in itself, is worth the detour. We had a wonderful time there
Friendly welcome. Exceptional breakfast
We stayed here pre pandemic, thought it wonderful and weren’t disappointed on returning this year. M and Mme Bellier are friendly, kind and generous hosts, who can’t seem do do enough for their guests.
It’s so rare now to find such a traditional, family run, French hotel, completely free from any ‘corporate’ blandness. A real gem.
The owners were lovely and very helpful, but the accommodation is old, tired and small. The accommodating and the food were both very expensive.
Bedding (ch 106) in poor condition, restaurant good; very generous and excellent breakfast
The hotel is well located. The welcome is warm and attentive in this establishment. The restaurant is excellent.
A nice local hotel, a bit tierd in decor, but excellent food.
Room comfortable, food excellent, warm welcome. Highly recommend.
Welcoming people and impeccable service and excellent catering
Delightful welcome from the host, our room overlooked the square and was comfortable and clean.
The dinner and breakfast was excellent!
We had a very late arrival due to a late ferry arrival, The hosts were extremely accommodating and did not make a fuss. that goes a long way!.
Vriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw. Heerlijk eten en we hadden een fantastische kamer.
Beautiful old fashioned French hotel. Super nice place to spend the night. Wonderful dinner and breakfast.
A very old hotel, which needs a lot of work. Nothing is comfortable or pretty. Hoteliers who are content to give you the key at the reception without any kindness. And all this for 202€ with breakfast!
The food at this hotel is exceptional. The hosts go out of their way to make the food service a great experience. Quality and attention to detail is amazing. The rooms amazin
Very enjoyable stay and the food was incredible
Great experience in the center of Sées, to be repeated. Very pleasant and competent team. The charm of yesteryear in contact and services. Breakfast not to be missed, great diversity and home made ☺️
Very attentive welcome and service Too bad the room is in an old-fashioned decoration, with a cramped bathroom. Hair dryer out of service. Breakfast is expensive for the service offered.
Overpriced compared to other Logis hotels, especially for what was a very small room.
Small provincial hotel a little outdated but very clean and welcoming. the owners bend over backwards to give you the best. Very complete sweet and savory breakfast. Almost all of the products offered are homemade, including breads and croissants. I recommend and will gladly come back again.
Excellent welcome for one night during a weekend. Very comfortable bedding, impeccable bathroom, delicious and varied breakfast entirely homemade and very kind service.
Fantastic restaurant, both dinner and breakfast both top quality. Comfortable room with everything we needed. Would be very happy to return.
Welcoming reception, neat spacious room and delicious food
Good bedding, a good table, and a friendly welcome, perfect for me!
Disappointment for the room with a mixed comfort and by the breakfast a bit messy in the presentation and by the choice of products. However, the evening meal is very good.
