I had to let the water run for over 15 minutes to get any semblance of warm water. Very disappointing.
My job means that I am on the road very often, for over 30 years, I have mainly been going to the Logis de France for over 25 years, probably more. I book 99% by phone. In this specific case, the hotel being closed, I had no choice but to book through your site (4 or 5 days before coming) I booked 2 stopover evenings at the Château hotel restaurant in Combourg for Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 in the evening. Yesterday Monday January 6 at 4:30 p.m., my assistant contacted me to tell me that the client I was seeing the next day in QUEDRIAC was canceling his appointment (training day). I contacted the hotel to let them know that I would not be coming. I was told that they could not cancel the nights that I had booked and that they would charge me for 2 nights.!!!!!! I could understand being charged for one night, since I gave them notice at the last minute. But that I am charged for 2 nights, that's the height of it. I didn't book several weeks in advance but only a few days before coming! Since the hotel is closed! In more than 25 years, I have never seen this. I mainly book by phone. No point in going through your site to book a room!
Nice and quite comfortable hotel. The place is very pretty and exotic at the foot of the castle. Breakfast and meals are correct but nothing more, as part of a stopover it is acceptable but used to the LDF I know better at this price. Good reception, very clean room and good bedding. I would have no problem coming back. Be careful of the wifi connection a little weak for 2024…
On closer inspection, the hotel restaurant is classified as Elegance and Tasty by Logis, at first glance this is misleading, if the hotel were classified as Cosy and Gourmet we would know what to expect and the judgment would be accordingly and everything would be fine.

hospatility and hospitality are not really there. The owner does not seem really driven. Staff is rushed and does not seem to feel at ease. People look tense and do not radiate much friendliness. Understand that the hotel has difficulty getting staff! For the breakfast buffet you have to be on time! Otherwise a lot is gone and is replenished with great difficulty and pain. The restaurant is qualitatively very simple. Parking is good
