Old and vintage room with the only opening being a drop-down window located at the head of the bed without a blackout curtain. Apart from the comfortable bed and the cleanliness of the place, the wallpaper, carpet, wall decoration and furniture are really old. The bathroom is just as old and the radiator does not work. This room, of course, is not in the photo gallery on the hotel website!

The hotel has a privileged location but the room we had did not reflect this. Standard room certainly but really shabby and especially big problem with the heating. Sort of adjustable timer that did not work. The services are clearly not up to standard as well as the breakfast which is more than ordinary and very expensive (15 euros!). Finally and icing on the cake, strong smell of tobacco in the reception due to a receptionist who allows himself to receive customers while smoking... it had been a long time since we had seen him (and my husband is a smoker...) .. too bad because the lady at the reception was more charming as well as Maria, the lady from the breakfast service. Both adorable and at the top. A great shame because we will not be back. The services are clearly not up to the reputation and the establishment. We are no longer in the 70s...
LIKE AT HOME
Arrived at 15.00. Nobody around. Eventually let into our room by a workman at around 17.00 - 2 hours waiting! No offer of help with baggage on arrival or departure despite being elderly. The whole place seemed to be half shut down and very much out of season. It is quite a distance from Lamballe

This small Breton manor at the gates of Lamballe-Armor is magnificent: the building, the garden, the orchard, the terrace and the calm. There is enormous potential, the new managers do everything they can to be pleasant and available to you. The interior still needs some refreshing, that's for sure. But you will find excellent quality bedding and a very quiet hotel, isn't that the main thing. And the 60s side of the bathrooms have this little vintage side that has charm, especially when everything is clean and impeccable, which is the case. Two small bottles of water await you on the bedside tables, mini bottles of shampoo, shower gel and body lotion in the bathroom. Finally, dogs are welcome. Thank you for this little weekend, even though it was very rainy.

So a piece of carpet had been roughly stuck on the window to hide the light for the night, but as it was the only window in the room, we were in the dark during the day too 😒 Not worthy of a "Logis Hôtel" and not in line with the price of the night So we were in the room was

Décevant. Ce que promet l’établissement lors d’un contact par téléphone ne s’est jamais réalisé… Je me suis fait balade entre l’établissement et booking pour comprendre qui ne disait pas la vérité.
Contractuellement il n’y a rien à dire, l’établissement était dans son droit de ne pas accepter d’annulation. Mais pourquoi alors faire croire au client qu’il est possible d’annuler… En réalité. la flexibilité commerciale de l’établissement est inexistante….dommage. Je conseille de vérifier très scrupuleusement tout ce qui est écrit car ces gens là ne vous feront pas de cadeau.

Hotel in a magnificent environment, magical place I recommend clean and comfortable room. The only disappointment was the meal, average starter, frozen chocolate dessert and in my opinion having spent at least 2 hours outside! It’s a shame that a chef dares to serve this type of dish, a simple fresh fruit salad or an apple cake would have been perfect and in keeping with the setting! O

For us, nothing like a 3-star hotel, closer to a guest house with a few negative points: dilapidated premises, very expensive restaurant (29€ for 5 scallops, certainly cooked), decent room but very poor bathroom. primary" . Small and poorly soundproofed room. Authentic building with its charm but very poorly insulated. When the heating is off all day, it becomes a real fridge. Slow internet connection. Very good catering. In these conditions, it is difficult to work and rest there. Very high price for the whole thing.
Impeccable welcome. The rooms are clean. On the other hand, it was really cold and we almost had to wash in cold water. Breakfast is disappointing. There is a lack of choice for savory and sweet. Also watch out for the evening server. He's adorable but we're all waiting for what's said in the kitchen... Also watch out for the stones in the salad..

Super welcome arriving in the middle of the afternoon, In the evening stopover with a good hearty meal with good SUPER products! I was not able to have breakfast as I was waiting for an appointment but in my opinion at least the quality of the dinner. The owner was disappointed that I was not able to enjoy local products. The hotel thoroughly deserves its 3 star classification together with it's Hotel Cosy and Restaruant de Terroir listings in the 2023 Logis guide. The reception and service was very good, the room was just what we needed , the dinner and breakfast were both very good . All in all It was a very pleasant break in our journey from Mayenne to Roscoff
We had booked through the site for half board at €150. The managers had not noted the reservation for half board and initially presented us with an invoice for €240, which we refused. They rectified it, but their management seems approximate. On the other hand, the dinner was not balanced and heavy (quiche, brandade, cheese or crème brûlée), and each dish was accompanied by the same poorly cleaned salad. Not to mention the breakfast madeleines that have been out of date for a month! Overall very disappointing, we will not return and will not recommend it. Too bad, the place is very beautiful.

A pleasant place and a beautiful building for an evening. Very correct rooms but which do not correspond to the description of the sites, an update would be relevant. A restaurant is offered, which is practical given the location of the hotel, with a short menu whose value for money could be improved. A renovation of the bathrooms could be envisaged.

Lovely location in quiet rural position with very friendly and helpful family owners set in gardens with lots of comfortable outside space.
Very disappointing to have stayed in a very humid room (number 1) with a bad smell due to rising damp and certainly also the drains in the bathroom (the perfume stuck behind the bathroom door didn't get the better of it!) It seemed to sleep in the cellar. In addition, not particularly clean (towel, window…) the bed frame fixed with scotch tape, low-cut rattan bedside table. Very disappointed. Too bad because the place is very nice and the restoration service works.

Unfortunately there was a party in a marquee in the garden and the music and sounds did not stop until 2am. If the window in our room was shut, it was extremely hot. We weren't warned of the party beforehand. The owner seemed unable to deal with the situation. The new owners need to understand the needs of all types of guests and any work needs to be completed before opening to the public.
Welcoming and attentive staff. Comfortable bed. Nice meal. Very nice stay. Bedroom could do with a little upgrading but this is clearly an ongoing task.

We appreciated the pleasant setting of the house and its garden but even more the kindness and attention of our hosts, who bent over backwards to welcome us. A slightly renewed decoration would be welcome in the room, but the excellent quality of the bedding (we slept like logs) makes you forget this somewhat dated side. Conclusion: an excellent stay, we will gladly come back!

Very good night in this charming place We could not take advantage of the breakfast outside; the weather did not lend itself to it. The park is beautiful as is the building. The room was comfortable.
