On a business trip, I booked at the last minute, and I did well to choose this hotel. Warm welcome, perfect and well-equipped room. I chose the evening stopover package, the dinner menu offered 2 choices per dish with local ingredients and it was succulent (bravo Chef [fe]). The service was also very good advice. Very good value for money. I validate and remember this address.

Business trip with stopover package: the quality of the breakfast and the evening meal is simply incredible! The staff takes great care of us (reception, evening and breakfast service). I have come several times and the quality of my stay is always impeccable.

Unfortunately our room overlooked the street and not the lovely walled garden which was lovely to sit in. The room was a good size but I didn't like three different wallpapers! A good shower room but it needs some shelves and the sink is too shallow and has a plug that doesn't always work. An excellent breakfast.

For 15 years, we have been going to this hotel/restaurant every year with the same pleasure. What an evolution in terms of comfort and decoration of the rooms, as well as the layout of the garden done in a very pleasant Zen spirit!! Mr BERTHELOT and his daughter never cease to surprise us with their creativity and the quality of the menus offered on their menu. In short, nothing but happiness for our taste buds! Bravo to them, including Mrs BERTHELOT for her welcome!

Very well located hotel, close to the city center, authentic, with parking. Very pleasant setting. Only downside: a little noise at night (air conditioning, fridge???) maybe because the room overlooked the courtyard?

At La Brèche, I am never disappointed! The food is delicious, you always learn new amazing flavors, the service is impeccable and the welcome is warm and friendly. I recommend it 1000% but not too much, so that I can go back again.

A very quiet little traditional hotel full of charm and delicacies, sheltered from the tourist hustle and bustle and yet a few steps from the bridge and the castle of Amboise. The level of the room will depend on the time you wish to spend there, but in any case, do not miss the excellent table of the establishment, a must for gourmets. A very nice address.

Finally a real hotelier!!! Quality of welcome, from the outdoor parking lot to the gardens, from the hotel entrance to the room, everything is perfect!!! And then this price point of offering an extraordinary breakfast, at 19 euros yes, it seems expensive, but when you see the quality of it, made with carefully chosen products (very nice charcuterie and a superb discovery that this gravlax catfish, excellent compotes or homemade jams, delicious French toast, etc.), served in a pretty, very stylish room with attentive staff. Thank you very much, a hotel service like this is becoming rare… and finally the price is very fair!

The room provided is outdated, these are rooms from the 70s...small bathroom, old sink, shower cubicle not great, however the bedding was good. On our weekend, for similar prices, we found better.

Very good value for money for an evening stopover, with a restaurant with impeccable service. Very good food, very good breakfast too, very varied. Finally a hotel where you can sleep, the shutters close and you are not woken up by the outside light, it is silent and the bedding and pillows are firm and of good quality!

We had an excellent stay in this establishment close to the city center of Amboise while being quiet. We regularly go to Amboise to visit our family in Vendée. Each time we pass through, we reserve a night at the Hôtel la Brèche and we also have our evening meal there. Outdoor environment and dining rooms are very beautiful. The catering part is of very good quality and the staff are very pleasant and competent. It's a real pleasure. The only downside is the state of the rooms, especially the bathrooms which could do with some updating.

The hotel is located on the other side of the Loire from the Château d'Amboise, in a quiet street. Our comfort room was in the annex building, on the garden level. Very generous in size, with a real little lounge area, well-appointed bathroom with Italian shower and separate toilet. The car park is easily accessible and large. The property's garden is very well laid out and should allow you to relax in the shade or in the sun, as desired, during a stay in summer. The hotel staff made us very welcome and took great care of us throughout our stay. After all these good points, a magic trick: restoration! The dinner was, from my point of view, worthy of a Michelin star! The 'chef's garden' delighted us, the freshness break awakened our taste buds. We didn't have the most extensive menu but the sequence of dishes was an exquisite farandole which will undoubtedly make us come back.

There was no water bottle in the room as provided. You weren't allowed to order warm boiled eggs. The scrambled eggs were a mess. The request for an omelet or a boiled egg was rejected... What a shame. The breakfast (€18.50) was not worth the price.

When we arrived, we received a very warm welcome from Madame Berthelot. All the staff were also smiling and very attentive to the well-being of our customers. After a long day travelling, this was a Very welcome place to stay, the staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and tidy, small but really well appointed, lots of extras and attention to detail, to make your stay memorable. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, we pre booked, my goodness were we in for a treat the food was exquisite, the pride, provenance and attention to detail shone in the stunning food... We knew it would be good quality, but my goodness it was fabulous. We will come back, definitely, I wouldn't hesitate recommending to anyone, just a shame we couldn't stay longer in this charming area.

Just one regret is not having been able to stay longer, all the people who work in this hotel were really welcoming and attentive.

Quiet hotel well located in relation to Amboise center. On the other hand, 2 negative points: 1/ no elevator to carry luggage. Service naturally offered by the staff 2/ spacious parking lot, but entirely gravelled, making it impossible to roll suitcases. Essential to park on the street at least to take your luggage down.

Bedroom was fine, not very special (old furniture) breakfast was good. The amount of emails we received afterwards (you are put automatically on an email list) was a very negative experience. I don't understand why they do this.

The restaurant at this hotel is phenomenal, a true gourmet experience. Exquisite, imaginative presentation, high quality fresh ingredients, unusual and delicious flavours. The whole establishment is run with love and a passion for detail. We came on recommendation from friends and were not disappointed. The situation is across the river from the centre of Amboise, and the accommodation is homely and spotlessly clean.There is a pretty, well kept garden, which must be a lovely place to eat when weather allows. The staff are friendly, highly professional and attentive. The large, secure car park is also a major asset. We will certainly be returning here if we can.

Hotel was very good. Our room was comfortable and clean. But, the condiments were inadequate, 2 coffee sachets and no milk. There is no grab rail support for the slippery bath/shower. Could not get the wifi to work The food in the evening was outstanding. Highly recommended.

Disappointed with the soundproofing and access to the room. Disappointed by the value for money of the breakfast, I never saw that the ham was cut into small squares. The bacon was just fat. The staff is not pleasant, apart from the lady at reception. On the morning of breakfast, the chef crossed the dining room without even saying hello. I also didn't like the fact that the car park, supposedly secure, stayed open very late to give free access to people who came to eat.

We really appreciated the great cleanliness of the room, its calm. The air conditioning was at the right temperature. We also dined at the hotel restaurant. Again, we loved it. The meal was delicious. A farandole of flavors swirls around the plates. The moment is magical. The Chef demonstrates an ingenuity never seen elsewhere in the development of the various dishes. It is a real discovery for the palate as much as for the eyes. The meal is jerky with little attentions that awaken the taste buds. In addition, the staff is very kind, very attentive while being very discreet. We dined in the pleasant garden. The breakfast is in the same spirit as the meal, a delight... We have excellent memories of our stay. From now on, we have an address on our way to the West of France and we will come back with great pleasure. Many thanks to the Chef and his team.

We recommend this hotel and the restaurant, excellent value for money.

Nice hotel. By cons no elevator to go to the 2nd. With my knee problem hard to get them down. It was 29° and in the bed just a big duvet. We would have liked to have a sheet to be able to remove the duvet. But apart from that, it is an address to know and we will come back with pleasure.

Very clean room. Exceptionally quiet. Beautiful garden (the restaurant is actually in a garden). Truly impressive water pressure in the shower. The walk across the bridge to the city center feels a bit long on a hot day, but the hotel is very close to the train station, a great bike rental shop, and a good boulangerie.

Excellent/Magnificent 3-night stay in a deluxe room on the ground floor, very spacious and tastefully decorated. From the first minute the tone is set by a smiling and professional welcome. The hotel is quietly located and has closed, secure and free parking. It is located just 10 minutes from the center of Amboise and therefore from the Château, easily accessible on foot (two bridges to cross). The hotel also has a very beautiful garden. Regarding the restaurant: magnificent, fabulous, a unique experience, a discovery of very good gourmet cuisine. A joy to have been able to taste these exceptional dishes. To do absolutely! Remember to book your table because often full. I will put the note very well maximum but excellent seems much better to me.

In addition to the warm welcome, the refined decoration of the premises and the cozy side of the rooms, the restaurant is worthy of the best starred tables with perfect table service (attentive, classy but not pompous). The wine list is extensive and the advice of the sommelier judicious. Highly recommend to all your family and friends.
