Roller shutter inoperative.
The hotel-restaurant is located in the middle of the village and exudes the charm of traditional Alsatian inn culture from the outside. Above all, the opportunity to stay overnight and have a good dinner in the dining room, with individual and enthusiastic service, is a pleasure. Very spacious room with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. The owner was always courteous and helpful. Good free parking. The short climb to the Benedictine abbey church of St. Jean-Baptiste offers a magnificent view of Saverne, the Rhine plain (Strasbourg Cathedral) and the Black Forest heights.
Ik boekte voor 3 volwassen mannen een familiesuite met 3 aparte slaapkamers via Booking.com, maar ik kreeg een standaard kamer met dubbel bed en een slaapbank. De geboekte kamer bleek niet te bestaan en ik werd door de eigenaar afgedaan als een fantast en een vervalser. Ik kon enkel omboeken naar 3 afzonderlijke slaapkamers (van zeer wisselende kwaliteit; prijs bijna x2) en de eigenaar weigerde elke vorm van compensatie. De familiesuite is vandaag nog steeds te boeken, dus ik wil iedereen waarschuwen voor de valse praktijken van dit hotel!

Perfect welcome and accommodation but the catering is too profitable, very good quality but ridiculous portions especially on the evening stopover menu no choice Ridiculous breakfasts no Alsatian products simple mediocre bread mini industrial pastries no interest especially a stone's throw from Saverne I will not come back
Good old fashion hotel with a nice welcome and personal attention. Rooms however are adequate but outdated.... central heating did notb work when turning it on and Wi-Fi connection was extremely bad by times. Nice place with character and good people but needs some work.
Very well received and a superb setting
The manager made us very welcome on arrival, the room was clean and met our needs. The dining room was traditional and provided a good evening meal, the staff were happy to explain the details of the menu n English. Be aware the car park is not next to the hotel but it is sufficient and near by.

This second stay confirms that we experienced an excellent welcome during our previous stay in 2022. The cuisine is simple and of good quality. If our steps take us back to the region, we will not hesitate to come back, but would like to see a little more diversified regional cuisine, as Alsace allows.

We are so delighted to find this wonderful hotel and restaurant. As very frequent travellers between our homes in Italy and England, it is a joy for us to find a overnight stopover of such quality.
Disappointed by our reservation because we stayed outside the hotel, sad surroundings and no telephone network. We asked for a change but the hotelier made us pay the amount for the first room even though the one allocated was 21 euros cheaper. We didn't like it at all.

I have stayed here several times, it is a great hotel, just off the autoroute in a pretty little village. Friendly helpful staff, good food and this time was put in a new annexe with spacious, very clean rooms.

Wonderful location good hotel good hosts and hostess we were offered half board and it was perfect in the evening a bbq extensive advance main course and dessert delicious in the morning a good breakfast and the rooms were perfectly slept well we slept here for 1 night.

Nice place, but breakfast at excessive value for money and every other day without room maintenance (a good gesture would have been nice!).
We had called a day before our arrival to find out the time of access to our room. The person informed us that it was possible to arrive at 4 p.m. We arrived at 4:15 p.m. and had to wait until 4:40 p.m. to collect our key. The receptionist couldn't even bother to apologise. The welcome and the departure were cold and impersonal. Disappointing... too bad for this small village.
a real family hotel. Very warm welcome. The decor is personalized with old enamel plates from Alsatian brasseries. Spacious room, tasty VRP meals and ...magnificent HOMEMADE breakfast!! The village is charming and quiet, large parking lot. In short, 100% positive!
