Logis Hôtel Clos de Mutigny

A haven of peace after a day of work. A beautiful building in the middle of a magnificent wooded park bordered by a stream (the Fion), the room is spacious with a magnificent terrace not overlooked. The bathroom is very spacious and functional. The elevator provides access to the upper floors, which is very useful for luggage. The dinners are excellent. Plenty of parking. Everything is perfect.

This is a lovely hotel. Warm and welcoming, in pretty gardens with easy parking. There is a lovely terrace at the front which will be lovely in warmer weather. Our room was very comfortable, great breakfast and excellent dinner. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful throughout. Our stay was excellent value for money. We will certainly stay again and would highly recommend

I make a detour to stay in this hotel which is one of my sure values, on business trips, and I know why. Although the room is quite small (but sufficient for one person), it is pleasant and very clean. The bedding is of good quality and good dimensions. The bathroom is also very clean and functional. The wifi is of good quality (for work). The catering is of high quality, even on an evening stopover, and the service is not out of place. The breakfast offers varied and good quality products. Very nice address, for a very reasonable price.

Arrived in January so not ideal as very wet. Could not really appreciate the garden, water very high with floods in surrounding fields (note not flooded but parked away from the water to be safe). Good reception experience, very easy to check in. Nice rooms with ensuite, TV and bottled water. Excellent and good value evening meal with great wines/champagne on offer. Slept well. Good simple continental breakfast. We only stayed one night but need to return in the summer to explore the area. No tea/coffee in rooms. There is a bar which we did not use.

Excellent value for money

We had a warmer welcome. We would have liked more heating in our room and in the dining room, we were cold. The breakfast is a little too simple and not enough, a shame not to have a real coffee. The dinner is very good and the bedding comfortable.

Delicious food

An address to remember. Without doubt one of the best quality/price ratio. The hotel itself is in a landscaped garden and the building is full of charm. The welcome is beyond criticism. The rooms are comfortable, quality bedding and well heated, which is not the case everywhere! The evening meal is excellent and the table deserves its name, knowing that in the evening stopover, several dishes, starters and desserts are offered. Breakfast is very good. In short, if you are in the area, do not hesitate.

Clean, neat rooms. Shower not pleasant for older people, a walk-in shower instead of a bathtub would be nicer. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is very good with an excellent price/quality ratio. Summary: we have excellent experiences with this hotel.

A charming hotel in a lovely location. There was plenty of parking for our car and small trailer. Lovely welcome too. The room had a view over the garden and river. We booked a table and the hotel food was excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. It was a really pleasant experience. We had a delicious breakfast too. This is a great hotel with a friendly staff, well worth a visit.

A quiet and well-kept hotel, surrounded by a beautiful park. The staff is smiling and attentive. The room overlooked the river, with a pretty terrace. The parking is secure and has an EV terminal. A haven of peace that we recommend.

We were passing through and stayed in this hotel for just one night. The hotel is in the countryside and is very idyllically nestled in a small park. A small stream rushed past our window. We had one of the rooms on the 2nd floor, which had not yet been modernized, but was in good condition and, above all, spotlessly clean. We had dinner on the terrace. We had booked half board and did not regret it. The quality was very good and met our expectations. We can recommend the hotel and would stay there again at any time.

We were travelling with a young black labrador and was worried she might be a problem, but everyone in the hotel were extremely flexible , welcoming and accomodating. Dinner was excellent.

Very nice discovery in a relaxing setting. The room is comfortable and well appointed. The lighting in the bathroom could do with improvement and the restaurant remains to be discovered, there is no doubt that it is very good.

A lovely tranquil location but only a short drive to local amenities. The food was delicious but you ate limited to a 3 course meal rather than being able to opt for 1 or 2 courses only. We really enjoyed our one night's stay and will definitely return when travelling in that direction.

Lovely independent hotel quiet location but close to A26/A4 near Chalons en champagne. Super restaurant - with a consistently good 29 euro 3 course table d’hote. Good breakfast. Friendly owners. Dinner on the terrace is the summer is wonderful.

I am a little disappointed with the service of this hotel. The room was not clean enough and poorly soundproofed with the neighbor. The bedding was, however, of very good quality. The restaurant offers very good dishes with good quality products.

A wonderful traditional hotel with comfortable rooms and modern bathrooms. We stayed in two separate rooms with wonderful views over the lovely gardens. We arrived 45 minutes after the wonderful restaurant had closed by the proprietor welcomed us with open arms and we enjoyed three courses of fresh, beautifully cooked food with a superb wine list. Would strongly recommend. Breakfast was very good too. Coming from the south of France meant we had sixty minutes driving on unknown roads in dark conditions. bear this in mind when planning a long journey. the welcome on arrival, the hotel, gardens and food were well worth it! Thank you.

We stayed at the hotel twice. Both times the staff were perfect and the food delicious. The first room was very good. it was in the Annex and had a small patio and as we were travelling with our small dog this was great for very early visits outside. A room in the annex was not available for our return trip and we had a smaller room on the second floor of the main building which was comfortable but a little tired and, as the lift was not working we had to take our luggage up two flights of stairs. We would definitely visit again but book well in advance to get an annex room.

The room is quite small, but I think that is completely unimportant.

We stayed for one night with our 2 dogs. We're warmly greeted by the host. Room was good, overlooking the gardens to the side. Lovely grounds ideal for a run around with the dogs. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional served by friendly staff. Only gripe was a large contingent of Belgians staying and it was a bit of a battle at breakfast next morning, queueing for the coffee machine or for orange juice. Staff were efficient at restocking breakfast items. We old definitely stay here again.

Fabulous deluxe room with huge balcony and very comfy bed. Buffet breakfast was traditionally French and produce was of a good standard. Morning staff were very friendly and couldn't apologise enough for the false fire alarm which woke us at 7.30am, c'est la vie! Would definitely use again as a stopover to Calais.

A quietly located hotel with a beautiful, well-kept garden and a large parking lot. The room on the second floor was quite small, but completely sufficient for one night. What was annoying, however, were the many mosquitoes that made sitting on the terrace no fun. Luckily there were no mosquitoes in the room due to the gas outside the windows!

this house in France had an electrical terminal installed which should be a plus, the fresmil company which installed this practical terminal at an exorbitant price the socket where I plugged in (3 kw socket delivers 9 kws taken 6.75€ which makes 3 x the price, for me it is a negative point of the hotel besides we only had 14 more channels of poor quality

They lady on in the daytime was very good. Let us in early as we had arrived with our backpacks. Served us drinks early which was very welcome. We ate dinner outside. Lovely gardens around Hotel a very peaceful spot.

Great hotel, this summer we booked this hotel 3 times on the way to our holiday home in Burgundy.

Returning from an evening, no lighting in the hotel access car park, fortunately our cell phone did what was necessary. Doors slamming at 5:00 a.m. make the walls shake. Otherwise very beautiful setting!

I found the room a bit too small, even though I was alone in a double room, a bit old, the bathroom was newly renovated - the food and service was great, attentive and friendly, beautiful facilities around the house, beautiful terrace

We have used this hotel before - it is convenient, in an attractive setting and the food is of a high quality.

Rooms a bit small. The completion of the lift will make a great difference because most rooms are up two flights of stairs, which can be challenging for older customers with luggage.

The stay at the hotel was a 1 night stop over whilst travelling to our gite. It was a really nice hotel in its own very peaceful grounds. The restaurant was very nice also. The family room we had was perfect with the children's bunk beds being in a separate area with their own door within the same room. This time, as a treat, we chose this hotel that is more expensive than our usual stopover type hotel. We would recommend this hotel for that reason as it certainly felt that bit more special.

I do want to say that we had the deluxe room with a terrace

The Clos de Mutigny is a place where you feel good. In a small village in Champagne, I like to find myself there on the occasion of a weekend spent in peace, to eat well, to stroll with a book and to take advantage of the small park, magnificent and very pleasant, everything can be possibly take advantage of a trip to Châlons in Champagne or, further afield, to Reims. It is a simple place, but how comfortable and appreciated. It completely corresponds to my tastes in terms of quality of welcome, very good quality catering and simplicity in the tranquility found there. We're here to have a good time. Thank you to the whole team, you are loves.

We had a lovey stay st this hotel. The owner and his staff were extremely welcoming. The atmosphere with the beautiful gardens surrounded by a river was very welcome after a tiring drive. We enjoyed our stay here and the cuisine was exceptional. The bed was comfortable and the shower efficient, although the bathroom was a little dark as there was no window . I applaud the hotel's policy of saving energy by replacing old bulbs with LEDs but the single small strip light was inadequete. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoor areas and we found the terrace a very congenial spot for drinks, breakfast and our evening meal. Parking is ovrall on site and convenient. The new lift will be much appreciated by those on the second floor; the two flights of stairs leading to our room were difficult for me. Overall an excellent Logis ; we slept very well and had an amazing dinner with a treat in the form of freshly-squeezed juice for breakfast to follow in the morning. The half board is really good value for such high-quality cuisine and is highly recommended.
