From arrival to departure we were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. M Le Padron - Denis - is justifiably proud of his hotel and the work he has put in yo achieving his high dtandards. As a person he has a delightful personality and was an ideal host. For good measure, he is an exfellent chef
Simple but well-kept hotel
The managers are very welcoming. Room and hotel are spotlessly clean. Quiet environment. Restaurant with very good quality family cuisine with a more than reasonable price/quality ratio. I highly recommend this establishment.

A great little hotel in a quiet area of Chauvigny.
Staff are extremely welcoming, caring , chatty and friendly.
Room clean, tidy and comfortable.
Adequate breakfast for a reasonable price. (Bread, croissant, preserves, yoghurt, apple purée, hot drink and juice.)
3 course evening meal for €15 is excellent value- choices to suit us both ,and good, hearty , fresh home made food served.
Free parking and wi-fi included.
A 160 bed would be a plus. Few TV channels accessible in room 20. Poor quality WiFi.
The establishment is extremely clean, the decor is spartan, in the room the paintings are reminiscent of a hospital room. We should have checked the location of the establishment on Google Map. It is located in an unpleasant area of the city, impossible to sleep with the window open with the cars driving noisily at night; there is no air conditioning, we slept very little because of the heat. The windows offer a view of a street opposite with a building on the bathroom side and a view of the laundry drying on the bedroom side. Fortunately, the hotelier is very friendly and very helpful, the breakfast is complete, a real coffee; However, to get to the restaurant room (breakfast) you have to go out into the street, no internal passage from the room to the room (PS) the exterior photos of the hotel are misleading, to be checked before booking.

I had a very warm welcome from the host and hostess. They couldn't have been more helpful and kind. Th hotel has a lovely atmosphere and the evening meal was excellent. I can't comment on the wi fi connection - I was far too tired to log in! Nor is 'buffet presentation' applicable to my stay.

Nice helpful host, very welcoming. The website I booked with said the restaurant was open, it wasn't. Rooms look like they have been decorated recently but still very dated. The bedding was fine, but the bed on the small side. (no room for a bigger one). Good parking. The Outdoor space would have been nice in warmer weather. I would have expected a cheaper price.

Our room was up in the lovely old building...with high ceilings ...and an even higher bed !! :) A very clean room, good decor, comfortable bed, good lighting, spacious bathroom, reliable Wi-Fi, and plentiful parking on site.

Evening meal was an absolute bargain at €15 for three courses. .....with choices to suit everyone , and no skimping on the amounts.
Breakfast was basic bread, croissant, jam, yoghurt and hot drinks and juice.
VERY reasonably priced.
Situated in the lovely old town of Chauvigny , which we will hopefully explore next time if there isn't torrential rain again.

Unpleasant room, windows directly overlooking the street passage. Minimalist bathroom but sufficient towels. A bedside table would not be superfluous. the chair that replaces it is curved (difficult to put something down) and made of fabric (hygiene problem). Spartan breakfast. no buffet but a pastry, bread, ONE jam, butter, hot drink and fruit juice. Yogurt does not replace a small piece of cheese which would have been welcome. Strongly discouraged for foreigners accustomed to hearty breakfasts!

A very pleasant stopover from all points of view: the rooms are simple, but everything has been thought out to make you feel good there (especially the excellent bedding), the area is both very quiet and very close to the medieval center ( beautiful walk), the dinner was delicious (remarkable value for money) and the attentive and friendly welcome (the boss had thought of giving us a cooler room than expected, he and his young employee are very nice!) . We will definitely be back!
