A wonderful surprise. This hotel is located in a beautiful location, perfectly quiet, and offers excellent value for money. The room was clean, well-equipped, and the bedding comfortable. The full breakfast was served in a very bright room. We went there almost by chance, but if we ever return to Dole, this is where we'll stay.

Everything is perfect, friendly staff, comfortable room, simple but very good breakfast, top restaurant. This was our second stay and it will be our relay point for each passage through Dole 4x to 5x per year

J’ai passé un excellent séjour au Chalet le Mont Roland à Sampan avec mon chien. Le cadre est vraiment apaisant, idéal pour se ressourcer loin du bruit. Le chalet est confortable, bien équipé et très accueillant pour les animaux. La vue est superbe, et les alentours offrent de belles possibilités de promenades. Un endroit parfait pour une escapade tranquille !
En résumé, le Chalet le Mont Roland est un endroit idéal pour se ressourcer, loin du tumulte quotidien, tout en bénéficiant d’un confort optimal. Nous avons hâte de revenir !

This was the second time we have stayed here, and we plan to use the hotel again. It is a useful stopping off point between Channel Tunnel and our destination in the Alps. We travel with two dogs, and the hotel is well appointed for dogs. We had direct access from our room to an outside staircase and there is an expanse of grassy area for the dogs to exercise on directly in front of the hotel, coupled with longer trails through the surrounding area. Dogs are also welcome in the bar and restaurant.

There was a problem with check-in, but they fixed it quickly. The rooms were comfortable, but I think our room was above the kitchen, because we could smell all the smells coming from there. We got used to it after a while 😳. To me, it seemed like a well-run establishment, like a family place. It lacked a bit of friendliness though; I was surprised when two staff members came into the restaurant at breakfast, looked at us, but didn't say hello or anything. Overall, it was okay for the price we paid. The food in the restaurant for dinner was good, and the service was okay.

Very friendly staff, very clean accommodation, very good food and everything at a very good price. We stayed here within two weeks on the way there and back on holiday and were very satisfied. We will be back next year. The hotel is very quiet and beautifully situated in the countryside. It is not very well insulated, so noises from the house can be heard in the rooms, but it is completely quiet at night. We are travelling with a dog 🐕 and the staff are very fond of animals.

A fantastic accommodation, but the fact that it was not possible to adjust the heat in the room to make it cooler lowers the rating from five to four stars.

A very enjoyable and convenient stopover.
Good food and a comfortable room.
My wife suffered a fall at breakfast when a rear leg on her chair fell off as she mov to get up!
She was hurt, ankle, shoulder and back of the head. Fortunately it was only bruising and soreness but still evident as I write this four days later.
However, I must commend the manager/owner
who showed much concern and sympathy about the incident and offered medical support.
I was and am grateful.

Accommodation is not the same as photos on website, photos look bright and colourful. Outside of hotel was brown and dark green and room was grey. Looks likes its being renovated but website shows a much higher quality than we saw. However foid was amazing!

88.02 euros for a night for a couple including the room, tourist tax and 2 breakfasts at 9.90 euros. In terms of value for money, I would say excellent. On the room: clean, spacious, bathroom with shower and separate toilet, private terrace, very good bedding, 160 cm bed I think, extra pillows available, well-proportioned TV with Canal + and BEIN channels, desk, glasses and 1 bottle of water available, more than enough towels, soap dispensers at the sink and in the shower. For me, who, professionally, spends at least 150 nights a year and this, for several decades, in hotels and 90% in "NOVOTEL", whose room prices are between 120 and 170 euros and breakfast between 15 and 25 euros (depending on whether there is smoked salmon or not at breakfast), I consider that for an establishment such as this one, chalet style, quiet and away from the noise of cars and other noise pollution, it is ideal, Some little extras that make the difference, such as a coffee table upstairs with a microwave, instant hot drinks, water, cups for those who can arrive late or get up very early is very appreciable and unusual. Equipped with an elevator even if there are only 2 floors. The only minor inconvenience, room 8, is that it is located next to the stairs leading to the 2nd floor so a little noise when guests arrive but so superficial compared to the rest. Very decent breakfast: cold meats, cheese, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, pastries, breads, 3 ranges of cold drinks, hot drinks everything you could need, just the addition of a cooking appliance to make a boiled egg would be welcome. Friendly and competent staff. No more possibility to write more, especially about the restaurant which is undoubtedly bistronomic, I would say more on my review on Google ...

We had an extreme mosquito problem in our room

The positives are the food was excellent, and the location very good as was the attitude to dogs.

Unfortunately the quality of the room and hotel was poor, with the flooring unsealed in areas making it a tripping hazard, holes in the walls and doors that didn't close.

But the biggest issue was you knew the air conditioning was faulty and would be so loud as the family could not sleep and yet you still put us in the room. This shows utter contempt of your customers, and the offer of a free coffee in compensation was insulting.

Charming, both the place and the staff

Very good hotel, only room 12 is a litle bid noisy. The rfoom is on the back side of the hotel and in the morning you haven some disturbing from delivery. The meals are very good, friendly staf. Very nice situated at the top pof a hil.

Beautiful exhibition of this hotel but service a little limited for the price. Disorder outside, smoking area on the side of the rear access door very limited and dirty, noisy bathroom because of the ventilation. Positive points: good bedding and pleasant breakfast in the large salke with everything you need.

Unfortunately, power cut when arriving at the hotel until the next day. So, no hot water, no light, no possibility of recharging your phone or GPS for the next day's journey and no television. I add to that, a mosquito, plus noise in the corridors which prevented me from having a decent night. On the positive side, the boss, given the situation, reduced the price of the room by half.

Everything was good. Pleasant 1-night stay. Very warm welcome. Just one point: there was no hot water. Fortunately it was very hot, it made it possible to bear the cold shower.

Too bad that in the evening I was given a dirty table that was sticky everywhere and had not been cleaned.

The hotel was easy to find and there was loads of car parking immediately outside. Check-in was adequate but we weren't exactly bowled over by the warmth of the welcome! What passed for the reception was a bit of a mess, it looked like they were in the middle of a construction project......with lots of bits of paper stuck to the walls.
In the final analysis we were checked in quickly and found our way to a very nice room with fantastic views and a tremendous air conditioning system. Our evening meal on the terrace was lovely and breakfast was simply very french. If you like french "character" hotels, this is a good one.

Easy to check in with a room key within 5 minutes. The staff were unfailingly helpful and cheerful. The dinner was excellent with outside seating and magnificent views. The breakfast was excellent and the check out process straightforward. I would recommend this hotel unreservedly.

Our room was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable. The only issue we had was the fire alarm coming on at 1 am. But it soon went off and we went right back to bed.

Dit hotel is heerlijk voor een stop onderweg naar het zuiden om even tot rust te komen.
Het ligt in de volle natuur. Onze kamer had een balkon met uitzicht op de heuvels. Er is een zwembadje bij en je kunt een mooie wandeling maken vanaf het hotel. Ook lekker ontbijt. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

The hotel could not be found using the car navigation system, so the directions had to be entered via Google Maps on the booking portal. That was the only downside. Otherwise, a top address as a stopover! Good service, friendly staff, good food, quick processing of all necessary formalities, good breakfast... The positive reviews did not disappoint, but were fully confirmed. We would gladly return!

We were passing through Spain and used this hotel on both the outbound and return journeys. The reception is friendly, the rooms are clean and large, dogs are welcome and the location is perfect for stretching your legs and that of your four-legged friend.

Hotel in a mess and quite messy. Correct welcome by a young woman who should take a little more care of herself. From the reception to the room, the terrace and the garden does not escape this impression that the whole lacks harmony and above all taste. We were visiting as a couple for a romantic wellness week, and reduced our planned stay by 3 days after the first night. Could do better, much better.

The WIFI is impeccable. To add a small downside, I was expecting more artisanal products for breakfast. some products are industrial. But it remains correct, there is a choice

Charming hotel, in a place conducive to rest, calm and at the same time quite lively. I had booked a large room on Booking.com, but when I arrived I got a small one. After reporting the matter, the managers did what was necessary and we got our large room. THANKS. We really enjoyed our stay. Small suggestion: avoid Skyrock radio in the morning (I would avoid it altogether 😉) Sunday morning we had a different musical atmosphere, much more pleasant.

Hello, great setting, great room and great breakfast (note too much noise, we can hear everything that's going on, room 5 below was the restaurant, we could hear people in the chairs and next door we could hear people going to the toilet who had reports not soundproof I spent a sleepless night 😩😩😡the shower would be better than a bathtub we also ate one evening great starter but the main course the fish brandade was cold and the butter was borderline hot and the dessert good for we were very disappointed with our stay its damage we thought we would have a good time 🤔😩

Second stay and the welcome is still as friendly whether at reception or in the restaurant! The dinner was excellent and the service perfect 👍 I preferred the room with a terrace and a view of the surrounding countryside from my first stay! we stayed twice overnight in 10 days. first time excellent room at front on first floor. 2nd time initial room allocated was to back odd shape dull and grim. Staff changed us to a front room which was brighter and good. Only one minor irritation on 15th.. 3 people with a dog were allowed in the restaurant, not an issue except that the dog barked randomly all the time making guests visibly jump. The staff did nothing to address this. It was annoying and ruined the meal experience we felt.. finally I find it odd that the shower attachment in the bath had no curtain or screen to prevent splashes.. (we have experienced this at another hotel in France so its apparently not unique)

Really very disappointed with the establishment when we arrived we were given the card of a room already occupied with personal effects etc inside (I can't imagine the situation if the people were in their room at that time! ) I go back down to reception visibly not surprised that I am back so quickly where then gives us the card for a second room where the door is open upon our arrival… we had reserved a room for two adults and a child with a request of “baby” bed the room only consists of a double bed, fortunately we had our folding bed in the car. We therefore find ourselves with towels for only two people even though there are 3 of us… no action from the hotel when paying despite my complaints. We will never return to this establishment! We are very very disappointed!

A very warm welcome, a surprising place surrounded by nature and near a Marian sanctuary, a beautiful room and above all a very beautiful, generous cuisine, both simple and sophisticated with a balance of flavors that hits the mark. The hotel reception was generally untidy and the receptionist nor overly welcoming.. The bar area in the reception was dirty, unkempt, littered with used glasses, not organised or well managed and not at all inviting. The room was adequate but could have been cleaner. The food was agreable. The location was interesting and the views very good.

Hello, I would like to share my experience about your hotel: This hotel is just a lie! No comparison with the pictures. Everything in the hotel is chaotic, there are things standing and lying around everywhere. Instead of the colorful rooms, I only saw brown rooms. From the outside it is more reminiscent of a hotel in the Black Forest. It's also just brown, not colorful. To room 1 (ground floor) There is a brown board screwed to the wall above the headboard of the bed, more on that later. The toilet door cannot be closed completely. Some of the furniture loses its paintwork. Facilities are more old than current and well maintained. As we lay down to sleep, we suddenly heard rustling and scratching. This was coming from behind the board above the headboard. We suspect there are mice or rats behind it, which is probably why the board was temporarily screwed on. We complained and got another room on the 1st floor. 2nd room air conditioning directly above the bed and extremely loud. It was not possible to leave the balcony door open because the smell of grease wafted in from the kitchen, which is directly below. Toilet not screwed on properly, wobbles when you sit on it. Passage to the shower maximum 190cm (I'm 2m tall) and narrow. Dinner was good, staff friendly Breakfast was also good but not really much to choose from 2 types of bread, 2 types of sausage, some cheese, jam and muesli When folding the freshly washed laundry, the employee has a cigarette in her hand I am, because of that Incident with the animal in the first room assumed that there would at least be a proper apology, or an accommodation on the price. But nothing happened at all! I'm disappointed

Just a wonderful hotel

The hotel is very cute surrounded by a beautiful nature. We stayed just one night as we continue our trip. The bed was very clean and good. We didn't eat there but the restaurant looks very nice.

Pleasantly surprised by the room which was of "better" quality than the detailed description on the booking site (parquet and not carpet, modern furniture). It just lacked possibly a small fridge in the room or in the hallway (where there was enough to drink tea or coffee as well as a microwave). Very comfortable bedding, well-prepared room and pleasant staff. Nothing to say!

Our room did not look like the one in the photos and ours was still supposedly comfortable .. the others in the photos are palaces, aren't they? No desk... Headboard more than old with chips of paint to redo... Decor of the 80s unlike what is visible on the site... Non-existent cleanliness in the dining room. . we still find fries from the day before .. stains on the floor .. we only saw the floor washed on the last day ..... Cushions to be washed lying around for 4 days in the passage to go to the rooms .. cartons of beer ditto ... Cushions also on a table in the same places ... The air conditioning which makes an impossible noise ... and the staff who tell you that it is normal but only at the limit it does not matter since the pump only starts every 30 minutes .... even at night ... What about the breakfast ... do not expect to find the one in the photo .. it does not matter nothing to do ... no eggs ... only one type of bread .... brief foutage of mouth .... Let's not finish the staff ... friendly as a prison door ... Do not respond to the hello...

Many restaurant staff, attentive and efficient. But neglected and even downright vulgar outfits for one are not worthy of a professional welcome. As for the noisy moving of the furniture in the restaurant room located under the rooms until 11:30 p.m., it is quite simply a lack of respect for the hotel's customers.

Second time in this hotel and this time will be the last. Both times have been given a "dog friendly" room which smells horribly. Instead of placing a stone or wooden floor which can be properly washed without leaving any smell, the room is equipped with a very thick plastic floor which absorb urine and god knows what else. The hotel was full and they could not give me another room.

Nicely located hotel with nice staff. Our room was very large, with a bathroom and a separate toilet. Everything was very clean. There was free coffee, tea or water in the hallway. We also ate well there. Very good value for money.

I was looking forward to your hotel, but got a room in the building next door. Clairvoyant - I could hear all your employees' conversations during the smoking breaks until late at night. I didn't even raise the curtain, because the backyard atmosphere was more than oppressive. I have to say clearly that your house holds the negative record on my trip.

Home more than average. You have to go fishing for info, we felt like we were disturbing. Entrance to the shower stall very narrow. Is this hotel in the renovation phase or is it naturally bathed in "its own juice"? In addition, kitchen smells invade the room (we were on the first floor).
