We prefer to stay in independent hotels and were looking in the area. We are very pleased we chose this hotel.

A great place to spend some quality time, reading, walking, and relaxing. Excellent food.

A very pretty place, with lots of charm, on the banks of a river that calls for serenity and calm. Very pleasant host and quality service. The plus: the spa! Outdoor hot tub and sauna with large bay window, both with a view of the water! Breakfast with excellent local and homemade products.

A little corner of happiness, we will return with great pleasure. A change of scenery guaranteed.

Very warm welcome, top relaxation area (Nordic bath with a very relaxing view of the river), excellent breakfast and restaurant, everything is organic and good. And a fireplace as a bonus, a marvel. Too bad the menu is the same all weekend. A plus for access to the electrical outlet in our vehicle. The rooms and bathrooms are a bit narrow.

It's quite simple, everything was fabulous, from the welcome to the departure. The setting is magnificent, soothing and rejuvenating. The welcome is excellent with staff who do everything to make you feel good. The room was very nice, very comfortable and very quiet. The dinner was delicious. You absolutely have to eat there to savor the cuisine in this charming setting. Breakfast is just as good with a very large selection and high-quality products. And the ultimate in relaxation, the spa, with high-quality equipment, the sauna with a view of the river, the outdoor jacuzzi at 37, the hammam with a beautiful steam, and a solarium also with a view of the river, and deckchairs along the same river. In short, an enchanting setting

A very good stop before starting the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. A friendly and welcoming welcome. Everything at hand and of good quality. Breakfast was VERY good. Dinner was good, it's a shame that the chef was a bit too sophisticated with his dishes; we got a bit lost in the flavor department. In any case, there's a lot of work done in the kitchen.

Passing through for one night, we were delighted by the welcome, the quality and the refinement of the evening meal and discovery of the cuvée des Templiers. A breakfast composed of homemade cakes and excellent organic local products! All the staff are smiling and caring. And the cherry on the cake a moment of relaxation at the Spa.

Warm welcome. Very nice establishment in a very quiet environment on the banks of the Cousin, 5 minutes from Avallon. Very very good on the catering and the buffet breakfast where everyone finds what they are looking for with organic or homemade products.

A real little miracle, nothing more and nothing less than this place! We arrived frozen, in the pouring and icy rain, having decided to leave the too painful highway, after a day that had left us shivering with humidity. And, suddenly, a romantic site right on the edge of the river, a lovely welcome, a lovely warm room. Perfect surprise: we were offered (at no extra charge) a 37° jacuzzi, and a sauna and a hammam. Ideal to warm us up. After a cozy night thanks to perfect bedding, we will never forget this warm moment of happiness and we will come back.

A delight at the table and a perfect moment of relaxation at the Spa

Wonderful hotel in the middle of nature, with a great, relaxing spa area and cozy, delicious restaurant! If there's one thing I would improve it's the beverages at breakfast: it would be great to get fresh juice and freshly brewed coffee (It would be fair for a breakfast at 18 EUR/person). But this is just a detail - I really recommend this hotel!

Quiet location near Avallon Large comfortable room. Spa open only from 5pm does not allow you to enjoy the superb winter view from the hammam and sauna. I was called for the supposed disappearance of the TV remote control that we had left in the room. Bucolic place Warm welcome

Exceptional setting on the banks of a river in a building with lots of charm. Small but quiet standard room, very good bedding. A small downside, there was no towel dryer in our room. Fine and tasty cuisine, we had two excellent dinners at the hotel restaurant. Good buffet breakfast with quality products. Very pleasant wellness area, with hammam, whirlpool bath and a real Finnish sauna; special mention for the latter! We had an excellent stay in this charming hotel in the heart of green nature. Thanks also to the welcoming and professional staff!

We had a wonderful relaxing time in this quiet green place, the welcome was pleasant, the meal taken in the authentic room of the mill invaded by the softness of the fire crackling in the fireplace was pleasant and excellent, the breakfast was copious, the room comfortable. What more can we say except that we hope to return, do not hesitate to discover this charming place.

Discrepancies in speech between the person who welcomes us in the evening and the one the next day. The rules are not clear before the trip and it ruins a weekend.

Beautiful place and quality hotel. We came back for the 3rd time because it is always a great experience to stay there. The standard room is pretty and comfortable however very small and with a low ceiling. One point to note is the duvet during the summer, it would be better to put a sheet with a bedspread, it would be more flexible, difficult indeed to sleep with a duvet when it is hot but not pleasant either to sleep without anything at all. The overall price remains a little expensive on the other hand they accepted the dematerialized holiday vouchers that many hoteliers do not accept.

Je recommanderai cet hôtel pour un court séjour mais peut-être pas pour un long séjour.
La chambre est très petite. Nous avions réservé cet hôtel plusieurs mois à l'avance et nous avons payé le prix fort par rapport au prix affiché sur le site de l'hôtel quand nous y séjournions (différence de plus de 50 euros par jour). Le petit déjeuner est à comptabiliser en plus! (mais pas obligatoire et très copieux à un prix normal).
L'hôtel offrait un service le soir choix entre 3 entrées, 3 plats, 3 desserts. (vin un peu cher)
Les produits sont de bonne qualité mais en plat principal on offrait Une salade César, un plat végétarien et un plat poisson dommage que l'on ne propose pas aussi un plat "viande"
Le menu change tous les mois c'était difficile de manger plus de deux fois dans ce cas.
L'hôtel nous a proposé de changer le menu si on le désirait, nous devions nous arranger avec le chef mais comme la région propose pas mal de bons restaurants, nous n'avons pas voulu compliquer les choses.
En conclusion vue le prix payé pour la chambre je m'attendais à quelque chose d'un peu plus luxueux. (chambre et SDB étaient petites).

We came to celebrate a friend's birthday at the Moulin des Templiers. Although we live 45 minutes from the hotel, we were greatly disoriented. The place is sublime, the renovation of the old mill is extraordinary. The wellness area is a huge plus, with a jacuzzi overlooking the Cousin River. The place is a real invitation to travel, relax and calm. It is possible to order cocktails in the afternoon. Top breakfast. And to top it all off, the receptionist welcomed us with extreme friendliness, which we really appreciated! I 100% recommend this little corner of paradise.

I offered this stay to my parents, they were delighted!!! Extremely pleasant and attentive staff, meals made with local and seasonal products, homemade. They enjoyed both breakfast (all-you-can-eat buffet) and dinner. To top it all off: the setting of this establishment is in the heart of nature, on the edge of the river and has a spa (hammam, sauna and jacuzzi).

The room was nice although a little small as the bed took up nearly all the space. But it was a comfortable bed.
It's a lovely hotel in a wonderful location next to the river.

Kameraccommodatie is in principe OK. Netjes.
Restaurant beperkte keuze aan menu, lage kwaliteit en presentatie. Niet erg smakelijk en kook-technisch amateuristisch.
Zelfs het brood (restaurant en ontbijt) was halffabricaat dat was opgewarmd in de lokale oven. Dit is OK als kwaliteit voor een wegrestaurant, maar een vers stokbrood of croissanterie waar de Fransen om bekend zijn, was hier niet te vinden.
Het restaurant was niet erg proper in de hoeken. Stofnetten - spinnenwebben onder en rond de centrale verwarming.
Niet erg comfortabel om aan een tafel ernaast te eten.

Notre séjour au Moulin des Templiers était une chouette découverte et nous en garderons un très bon souvenir.
La chambre était un peu petite mais nous ne restions qu'une seule nuit et c'était prévu comme cela. L'accessibilité au Spa est un réel plus. Le cadre est magnifique avec la proximité de la rivière. Vu le beau temps, nous avons pu dîner à l'extérieur, c'était vraiment très agréable. Cuisine que je qualifierais de saine et goûteuse, avec un très bon rapport qualité/prix.
Le petit déjeuner était également gourmand, même si personnellement j'aurais souhaité avoir une omelette et un plus grand choix de pains. Par contre, grand choix de cakes faits maison.
Bref, séjour vraiment sympathique. Je recommande.

Joli petit hôtel pour une nuit étape avec parking privé. Très beau jardin. Expérience culinaire incroyable, c'était trop bon du début à la fin. Quel bonheur en bouche. Bravo chef ! Spéciale mention pour le gâteau poire-chocolat au petit déj, une tuerie ! Le personnel est adorable merci pour votre accueil. Nous n'avons pas testé le SPA, car trop de monde ce jour là. Attention si vous prenez une suite et que vous allez utiliser le canapé-lit, faites le savoir avant la nuit afin que l'on vous le prépare. La petite boutique à la réception est top.

This is a very beautiful hotel in a green setting with very welcoming hosts.

Missing some small practical details. Towel rack, coat rack, soap dish in the shower...

The room 0.1 where we stayed was spacious (the surface is larger than the rooms on the first and second floor). But on the ground floor with entrance and window to the courtyard it is rather dark and you need to switch on the lights also during daytime. We were a little disappointed about this and the missing view of the garden and the river. Next time we would request an upstairs room, even if they are smaller.

A really, lovely quickly hotel. Excellent service in a stunningly beautiful setting. Local produce served and enjoyed. A pity the ‘spa’ only opens to guests at 5pm..Our room was clean, cosy and warm - but tight in terms of space. We loved the cracking fire in the restaurent.

The food was delicious and the plates were generous, the Templar wine was really good! The breakfast is excellent with a very large choice and with local products and homemade preparations. The room was simple but spotless and had everything you could need. The spa and the location are really pluses. We will definitely come back to stay here!

From the moment of arrival and the personalized welcome, smiles, kindness, the tone was set for a stay of well-being and rest. We had the pleasure of being upgraded. Having already stayed in a standard room for the first time, I was delighted to discover the superior rooms. We slept extremely well. The decoration is refined and refined. We were able to enjoy the SPA almost alone. A herbal tea room with delicious drinks where calm reigns to recharge your batteries facing the trees and river. The arrival of the new chef brings a real plus to the quality of the menu. A subtle blend to bring out all the aromas of each dish. We let ourselves be advised by the very kind and caring waitress on her specialty, namely cocktails. Thank you for this timeless moment which allowed us to breathe, to no longer think about the time, a real moment of resourcefulness.

Very nice discovery in a magnificent region! The hotel is located along a river, it is very exotic. The wellness area is top notch with a hammam, a spa and outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the waterway...a magical moment! The welcome and the staff are friendly. The menu is careful and very good! Just a small downside, in the bathroom, there was a smell of sewage coming from the shower and we appreciated the gesture (free aperitif) for this inconvenience.

Very good time spent at the Moulin des Templiers! The welcome was perfect, with an accommodating team from our arrival to departure. The room was clean with a high quality bed. The products offered on the breakfast buffet are of very good quality with juices & jams from the region. We were also able to take advantage of a slot at the spa (sauna, hammam, Nordic bath), very clean and with space (3 couples max per session)! Thanks to the whole team.

Bautifully placed old restored Mill on the creek of le cousin. Quiet and intemate. Spa overlooking the great natural surrounding and simple well cooked french diner. Breakfast ist overwhelmingly rich with homemade cakes and tarts.... We will go again!
Some windows of the hotelromms face the street which is usually very quiet. Passing cars and motorbikes are very loud though. Book a room away from the street. Once they strip the old carpets in the rooms and hallways, this place will absolutly marveles!

As for the rest, the setting is just magnificent, the more winter approaches, the more the landscape becomes a real living painting, with the colors of the trees, the singing of birds and... at the end of the show, this gentle roar of water from rivers which make their way through the numerous rocks... a delight!

2nd year that we have come to the Moulin des Templiers We returned with friends. The spa area is accessible in the price of the room for 1 hour 10 minutes, outdoor jacuzzi in the middle of nature, very pleasant after a motorbike day. Very warm welcome, friendly and courteous, we will come back.

We have visited this hotel for many years and have always loved the ambiance. Much has been done to improve the quality of the rooms and the addition of the spa is very tastefully done without spoiling the special feel of the 'Moulin'.

We were staying downstares. The people in the appartment above us were loud and you could hear their footsteps.
There was not enough storage for our clothes. Not enough hangers and no shelves. Only a open space in the wall.
We had to have our suitcases lying open on the floor.
We liked the fact that the cleaning of the room was optional, so you don’t have to deal with cleaning ladies ( more privacy)
The location of the hotel is very beautiful! The parking very convenient.
The spa was very nice. Included in the room price. The allowance of 70 minutes per visit is too short. We prefer 90 minutes.

We had a very good stay! The welcome was very very pleasant and we were delighted to spend a few days in this hotel. The setting is beautiful and the food quite good! Breakfast taken in the sun facing the river and the forest: what a joy!

No cuesta lo que vale. Las habitaciones demasiado pequeñas, al abrir la puerta uno se choca con la cama. No tienen frigobar siquiera; el spa no lo pudimos usar dado que es muy pequeño y no tenían lugar para darnos turno. Pagamos el doble de lo que vale un hotel similar en la zona. Si bien el entorno es lindo nos pareció muy caro por lo que es.

We discovered a magical place due to the beauty of the site and the comfort of the hotel. The spa moment was also a real moment of relaxation.

Unfortunately, the room is definitely too small for the price and the location. It impacted a lot the experience and we felt we paid too much.
The breakfast was disappointing and not good value for money : no omelet or scramble eggs, no toaster

Kids are not allowed in the SPA area, but nobody told us before and we chose this hotel because of the SPA area. It was not stated on the website and not stated on Booking.com, which in summary was a bad experience for us.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in for work. The place is relaxing and the quality/price ratio satisfactory.

Beautiful location. Very small room, 2 out of 3 days no WiFi and no umbrellas, steep stairs, worn out bed. Bad service: if you arrive at 3:30 p.m., you should wait in front of the reception until Madame has finished her nap. Unbalanced price-performance ratio. No recommendation.

The hotel is correct, the value for money is not up to par compared to other hotels in the Logis de France. I could not try the SPA because there was no more space. I'm a little disappointed with the evening meal because it was very simple (a salad, a bowl of pasta with some cold cuts, some cheese that I didn't take and the dessert was good). What is missing is a traditional cuisine that warms. The parking lot is not tarred, the shoes are quickly dirty with dust. There is no decent gsm network, wifi is too slow and impossible to work to send some emails and make quotes. The breakfast is very good, only from 7:30.

A magnificent setting in the heart of nature. Waking up and having lunch with the sun, the chirping of birds and the sound of the river is pure happiness! I recommend to relax and find yourself! However, two minor flaws related to the room: - too bright TV light - no rain shower or shower head not large enough Thank you again for your kindness and your welcome!

Very calming place, ideal for relaxing! The spa is really TOP and the setting beautiful. Very small room, but comfortable bed. Dinner nothing fancy, just ok. Breakfast too expensive. Hosts very available and pleasant. They gave us lots of advice. Overall an experience to relive :)

Excellent hotel, clean and cute Green and beautiful setting … the river that passes in front of the hotel is superb. Nice and good restaurant. The welcome and the staff are adorable I regret an hour of spa, broken down into: 20 min of hammam, 20 minutes of spa and 20 minutes of sauna. It's not enough; We stay on our end! I didn't have time to relax

It's a great location, so relaxing and picturesque. The spa is super nice and the staff is super sweet. The place was affordable, good breakfast although I wish they had less products from the super market and more of what they made like the juices. But otherwise amazing stay.
