Breakfast was served in very vozy snd beatiful courtyard house.
Excellent location, good value for money
Super clean and very nice room.
We have been staying at this hotel once per year for the past several years. The staff here has always been very professional and welcoming. They ensure we feel comfortable.
Great location to visit Chinon
Strangest reception desk I have ever seen. Reception opens early for check outs and then closes about 11:00 and doesn't reopen until 3pm or 15:00. If you arrive between these times you are stuck with your baggages.
The only positive point is the evening stopover catering at 140 euros payable on arrival and provisional meal 70 euros whatever the meal. Excessive price for the service offered.
Good welcome, warm and efficient. Very quick entry/exit formalities. Tray with kettle and tea/coffee pods generously provided. Individually adjustable air conditioning, which compensated for the fact that the radiators had not been turned on during these first cool nights. Slightly disappointing view from room 117 (internal staircase with accumulation of external air conditioning units) but on the other hand quiet. Correct bathroom but poor drainage of the shower tray. WiFi a little sluggish (some secure sites were inaccessible)

Well located hotel in the immediate vicinity of the center with a large free car park opposite (except on Thursday market day, but part of it remains available) Superior room on the 2nd floor comfortable, but access by a narrow and fairly steep staircase Air conditioning broken, fortunately it was not a heatwave… Unstable and very poor WiFi in the room Pleasant interior garden but which could do with a little more maintenance (and cleaning of the tables…) Fridge and kettle installed on request only

The hotel is easy to access with a large free car park in front. Very good reception where the person guided us well on the tourism side of Chinon. We were surprised by the 'so-called superior' room, large yes and refreshed, but with a very aging bathroom where taking a shower is not so easy, between the shower head clogged by scale, and a shower screen so small that you put water everywhere, knowing that the old bathtub is not wide at all. And never seen before, the fridge and kettle placed on a board in an old bathroom above the bathtub. You are woken up very early by the light, because there are simply blackout curtains. Nothing to say about breakfast, it is very varied and the room rather nice.

The bed are individual, even for couples. Not great.
Very well located hotel, close to free parking. This establishment could do with a refresh (carpet on the stairs, opening and closing of the bedroom door with a key that opens a lock as the lock is unusable). Smell of damp, breakfast room included. The door to the bathroom, which also includes the WC, did not close (the latch turns but does not allow the door to be blocked), VMC ineffective in the bathroom (opening of the window essential to evacuate the mist) and absence of curtain in the bedroom area.
Very warm welcome, quiet, bedding and clean room. We were just a little disappointed with the size of our room compared to the photos. Nevertheless we appreciated this little nest. Many thanks again for the welcome!

We had rooms 33 and 34. They do not correspond at all to the photos on the site. The rooms were dirty. We left.

Warm atmosphere, welcoming room, comfortable bed, we would like to stay there for days! The breakfast room, with a view of the garden, maintained with taste and respect for nature, invites you to have a beautiful day! Thank you for the care and warmth that this place exudes!

A very well located hotel. Our room was clean, but decoration would need to be redone later to be up to date. Welcoming manager.
Not really a hotel, no bar or restaurant. Check in was good and friendly. We were shown a room with twin beds we expected a double. The room did not have any bedside lights. I stumbled in the night when I had to get up. The floor was freezing cold no rugs. The bed had a dip in the middle which felt odd. Lots of fluff under the beds. Only one dining chair to sit on. Breakfast was very poor for the price. No white bread. No toasting bread. Nothing hot, it was freezing 3 degrees in Chinon. Eating breakfast out would have been a better choice.

Does not correspond to a 3 star
No negatives at all except they still use a very "outdated / old and worn out" system for issuing 'Username and Password" for WiFi or simply the Thermal Printout Machine is rubbish. Resolve this simple technical matter. When connected the WiFi is good in the Hotel. Other guests experienced difficlties - it is a frequent issue - Sort it Out! I have been to this hotel quite a few times over the last 25 years.
