No welcome on arrival. Having to call to obtain access codes. Dilapidated room with dirty decor, broken tiles under a footboard, no VMC in the bathroom, exposed wires in the bathroom heating. Household limit used cup on a shelf pile of dust on the radiators and finally a 🐀 in the courtyard! Fortunately the bedding was impeccable!

I recommend this hotel

Not great at all arriving in the street surrounded by buildings with lots of people. Then the ordinary hotel, too much noise from a student party just below our room. Shutter broken, plug coming loose, coffee pod already open just the paper remains, we asked for a double bed we ended up with two beds close together.' A shame !!!

Extremely noisy street side room. Room on the courtyard side, quiet but very damaged. Virtually no pressure for the bathtub shower. Water leak under the bathtub. Towels from previous guests still hanging behind the bathroom door. Bathroom door that does not close because the door frame is too small in relation to the size of the door. A bedroom tile broken into several pieces, the debris remaining on the floor.

Bright room and comfortable bed

The hotel has a retro charm, the new owners are gradually renovating the rooms and common areas. The welcome is very pleasant. Once inside the hotel we discover a place full of bright colors for the common areas, the rooms are elegant in gray and white.

Had to change rooms due to a strong smell of cigarettes No sound insulation therefore very bad night spent due to idiots who were laughing and talking in the corridor plus those who were screaming in the street

The hotel, well located in the city center, is quite decent but I must point out that no towels were provided in the bathroom (only the shower exit mat) and we had to dry ourselves with the envelopes. pillowcases. Forgetting, neglect of service? It seems important to me to point this out to you because it is very detrimental for your establishment. Only one lamp works on both.

Very warm welcome at reception, great responsiveness on the telephone, clear information, pleasant and quiet room. Bathroom paint to be refreshed... Hotel in the center with closed parking, perfect! Breakfast on site in a colorful and bright room.

Ideally located in the city center. 2 small downsides, a little late, and a little expensive for breakfast at 7 a.m. (and €11) when you have to hit the road very early. 6 a.m. would be preferable. Excellent night otherwise, no complaints, and remote reception with perfect SMS; I RECOMMEND

Very warm welcome with an SMS in advance which is appreciated. The room deserves a facelift, impossible to operate the TV despite the person at reception changing the batteries in the remote controls. Weird smell in the room.

Room and bathroom small, you don't have to be fat like me... breakfast good, evening stopover in an outside restaurant but expensive...

the shower in room 404 (I think) needs to be replaced

The hotel spreads the charm of a "hour hotel". You need a code for the courtyard portal and a code for the hotel entrance, which can only be determined by telephone. The room is extremely small and in need of renovation. There is a nice breakfast room

The staff is very nice and responsive nothing to say. The hotel is quiet and the breakfast is very good. On the other hand, the room is very dilapidated, the toilet bowl is very damaged, the contour of the bathtub, the tiling was broken, not very clean, it was a room for 3 people, we only had 2 pillows.

Sie haben 2 Sterne, bitte sehen Sie sich das B &B Hotel Monthieu an, das hat auch 2 Sterne und ist dennoch weit von Ihrem Standart entfernt. Sauberkeit und Werterhaltung sollte die Mindestanforderung sein.

We only stayed one night. The person at the reception is very friendly. The 2 additional pillows requested by email have been provided. The room was rather spacious and very clean with a large double bed. Very good bedding. Nothing to complain about for the breakfast, varied, in a colorful room. Parking space for 8 euros in the courtyard of the hotel which is very significant in the city center of St Etienne. Only downside but work is in progress: a broken blind in the room which rattled when it was windy. We will definitely come back if we have plans in the area.

Very friendly and helpful staff. On the other hand, the premises are to be completely renovated. Furniture, bedding and bathroom are outdated. Cleanliness to review too. Parking space at 8th but very convenient.

Not worthy of a hotel resemblance to a home

Very nice home

For one night, great location with private parking, near downtown, tram, halls. On the other hand, the rooms lack a bit of maintenance: roller shutter broken and without a handle, tiled bathroom repainted but with addicts. The shower head hook is broken and I caught the shower head on the top of my head when it fell. The toilet seat is just placed so that we go with it and it falls to the ground as soon as we get up!.

Everything good except the price of breakfast too high considering what there was.

Not slept, very, too noisy!

We don't do new with old, even if we see that the place is well maintained, the fact remains that everything is tired. No staff encountered during our stay. The door does not lock.

Excellent downtown location. Parking is easy by reserving a private and secure parking space. Bathroom to refresh but very good value for money.

I slept very badly at night, at 2am there were mice scratching on the wall, it was disturbing. Knowing that the attic at the top of my head was shifted so I was a little afraid that the mice would pass upstairs

Simple room. Location at the top. Mandatory parking because you are really in the heart of the city and there is no place to park. Coffee machine is very slow but very good coffee. Friendly welcome.

The reception at the reception was very good. The breakfast is of very good quality with local products. However the quality of the room is very disappointing compared to the photos. Poor quality bedding, both mattresses and pillows. Atmosphere of the room not very cozy. There were only a few sheets of toilet paper left when we arrived and no refill in the room...

The windows and frames are old. The noise and the cold of the street are chilling. Everything seems rudimentary to me. The toilets are clean but frankly narrow.
