Nice place to stay

An outstanding place to stay and dine. A family owned and perfectly designed place where tradition and modern comfort blend in perfect harmony. The Dordogne area merits more than a quick touch-down. It's here where one should stay! Wonderful.

As every year, the Archambeau Hotel is a very nice place for me to rest and relax. The unique silence of the night and the scents of nature are something very special here. The food in the restaurant is very tasty and offers consistent quality over the years, at moderate prices. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and restaurant. Small tip for improvement: Please replace the mattress in room 201, it was unfortunately saggy.

Overall a good hotel, the only negative is the noise of cutlery and plates when the man is cleaning the breakfast room, it would have been nice to have a quiet breakfast. It would probably be better to do it out of sight of your guests.

Well located and rather pleasant hotel. On the other hand, no friendliness or sense of service. On the verge of rudeness when, following a forgetfulness of a child's item of clothing with a strong emotional value for this child, no return despite the proposal to pay the postage. When you spend 300 euros in 12 hours between dinner, the night and breakfast, a minimum of politeness/professionalism/sense of service is expected. The contact following the forgetfulness spoiled our stay and left us with a very bad image.

overall 5 stars 1 criterion that you forgot, very important for us because we selected on this criterion: accepts dogs. the only small negative point: the church bell which rings for 1 minute at 7 o'clock, the hotel can't do anything about it of course ... but .. By aillerus 99 positive points.

Very good hotel and restaurant Friendly staff

Perfect for a 2 day stay. The pool was located across the road from the hotel so the children had to be accompanied when going to use the pool, however the road was quiet so not an issue.
The one room for improvement would be to have umbrellas by the pool as in the middle of the day there is no shade. Once it gets to 4pm the area around the pool does start to get some shade from the sun.

Home blah, impression of disturbing Electric vehicle terminal does not work: 40 minutes with the breakdown service to be told that the terminal is faulty and therefore lose 1 hour the next day on the highway to recharge 🤬

Very nice hotel, very clean, recently renovated it seems. Perfect restaurant too. We also used the SPA in a private version for an hour for a very reasonable price. We highly recommend!

It's a perfect hotel restaurant

Good family hotel for 4 generations. Excellent restaurant. Ask for the large rooms, a little more expensive but very pleasant. Parking on the street but there is space.

Everything was very good except the water for tea not hot enough on the breakfast buffet. It would also be nice to offer coffee cups for espressos. There were only teacups.

This establishment has really been tastefully renovated and we really liked its family-friendly, human-scale feel! The chef will delight your taste buds and the dining room staff will meet your expectations and listen to you! Thanks to them for the little surprise for our daughter 🩷 The PDJ is really quality and there is choice for everyone! You won't regret your stay... we even decided to stay one more night 🤗 So don't hesitate any longer! An address to keep!

20 years that we have been faithful to this friendly and professional family (despite the 6 hour drive it takes us to get there. )

Hôtel au calme, chambres très bien agencées, séparées comme des petites maisonnettes typiques de la région, très propre. Accueil super aussi bien pour le petit déjeuner que au restaurant.
Personnel très chaleureux et bienveillant. Plats proposés au restaurant tous délicieux et à un prix très raisonnable. Hôtel à recommander.

Very clean hotel, spacious rooms, comfortable bedding Perfect! Very accommodating and welcoming staff. Dinner at the restaurant was also fabulous! We will definitely come back if we have the opportunity.

Bedroom 501 was like an apartment best hotel room that we have ever stayed in. the dinners were excellent and the Patron very nice.
Our only criticism was that towelling robes should have been provided to enable us to use the swimming pool across the road

Excellent stay at this hotel, very warm welcome, beautiful swimming pool, good location for visiting the Lascaux caves and historical sites, and the restaurant is a delight!!

Excellent stay, well maintained hotel, pleasant and clean, staff available. Only downside: the room was a bit small for 4 (1 couple and 2 children) and a bathtub would have been appreciated given the young age of the children.

Very good stay! From the welcome to the service at the restaurant, everything was perfect! Being from Chaurien I wanted to taste the Cassoulet and frankly the latter really pleasantly surprised me (my mother's is better but I'm certainly not objective ;-) ) - No really BRAVO!!!

Very original concept. Quality of rooms ex itself.

The room was very nice, comfortable, well oriented. The reception staff was very kind, available and gave good advice. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with plenty of choice including teas, jams, breads and fruit. The restaurant on site was really excellent. Absolutely recommend!!! We will come back!
