The meal on the evening stopover was not extraordinary. Dishes reheated in the microwave without flavor.
We thank you for your visit to the Relais des Caillères and we regret that the meal tray did not live up to your expectations. The dishes offered by Martine are prepared by her and are to be reheated, which allows you to eat at any time and which was practical in your case following mechanical problems before your arrival. In this case, you had for your dinner a soup as a starter, then a potato gratin with eggs in a béchamel sauce spiced with cumin and nutmeg and a dessert cream to finish without forgetting the small carafe of wine offered on request. You also have at your disposal a basket of condiments to spice it all up if the need arises. We will always try to do better if by chance, you come back to see us.

We thank you for the many positive points towards us. Following your remark, we changed the coffee pitcher which had aged without our knowledge. We opted for subdued lighting in the orangery room intended for meal trays and breakfasts, this seems to us to be conducive to creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere.
Private room in a converted stable block in the grounds of a small chateau. Comfortable bed own shower and toilet. Communal kitchen and dining room if you want to use it, but as we were the only guests we had it to ourselves. Excellent breakfast in a large breakfast room. Very friendly owner and cat.

View the hotel's answerHello and thank you to have shared your experience of Le Relais des Caillères. We are happy you appreciated the breakfast and the accomadation. Sorry for the diner, we cooked meat and fish to respect the vegetarian habit of Madame. So we prepared on one side a chicken in cider camembert sauce with pasta and a cod in curry sauce for the other. Both of you had a pumpkin soup velouté in entry and an homemade apple-peach compote on desert. the pitcher of red wine was offered.
A peaceful night in a quiet green island. The host is very friendly, shows a lot of pragmatism and generosity to satisfy his customers. Thank you for everything.
