Very nice hotel, charm, calm, authenticity. Breakfast with fresh, local and homemade products. Excellent welcome and availability of the staff. One thing is sure, if we return to the area, without any hesitation we will return to the Relais de la Mothe
We unhesitatingly recommend the Logis Hôtel "Relais de la Mothe" in Yzeures-sur-Creuse, where we stayed (five nights) in August 2024. The rooms and communal areas are spotless, the welcome is friendly, caring and efficient. It is a small hotel full of charm, full of nooks and crannies, far from standardized chain hotels. There is no parking but this is not a problem: there are plenty of spaces available right in front of the hotel. It is pleasant to stroll around at breakfast when the weather allows it to be taken on the terrace. The buffet is not huge but the choice is satisfactory and the products are of quality and "homemade" for some of them. We had dinner two evenings at the hotel, again on the terrace: the menu is limited but everything is very good. Let's just point out that the staircase leading up to the upper floors is quite steep: I don't think there is a lift (although I'm not sure). This won't be a problem for most people, but it's worth mentioning. Finally, even if night traffic is sporadic in Yzeures-sur-Creuse, sensitive ears will need to close the window at night for rooms overlooking the street (the double glazing is very effective at reducing noise).
Everything is perfect. The hotel is simple and the staff is kind. The restaurant is top notch.

We had a great stay at the Relais de la Mothe. The setting is pleasant and the staff very friendly and welcoming. We had dinner and breakfast there and we really enjoyed ourselves, tasty and very well presented dishes, hearty and delicious breakfast. Little extra, baby equipment is available on request (travel cot and high chair).

Very noisy room (with a very very busy road and no air conditioning at this time of year impossible to sleep with the window open) 2 small beds for a couple !!) A welcoming, pleasant and attentive staff (thank you for the cold platters). The cuisine is divine: the chef is accessible, smiling and attentive. Hélène is just adorable. The young man in service and at breakfast was very friendly, with a great sense of humor. The whole is atypical, decorated with care and taste. The rooms are comfortable (the air conditioning option is very appreciated).

Very friendly welcome, thank you also for your reception because we arrived very late! On the negative side, the heat in the room, the bedding and starting the washing machine right below us very very very early in the morning! Impossible to go back to sleep when you hear the machine.

What a delightful hotel! We particularly appreciated the friendliness and helpful attitude of all the staff, who allowed us to sit over our very good dinner until well after closing time, and again even after we had checked out let us sit in the welcoming sitting room. We felt more like family friends than guests! Nice to have a decent coffee machine in the bedroom too.

Disappointed with the evening meal. The pork was just fat with noodles without any vegetables to accompany. The cheese for dessert would have deserved some dried fruit and a little jam. Too expensive for what we ate! A menu formula should be considered.

For our first stay we were spoiled ;-): kindness of the welcome, help with luggage, installation in the room, a very convenient bike shed. Time for a short bike ride and the sauna (booked in advance) was ready to welcome me. The gourmet dinner was another great discovery. In short: a 5 ***** stopover. Thank you for everything !

This is not our visit to this establishment. We are simply attached to it every time work takes us to work in this area. A very nice breakfast that gets us off to a great start to the day. Awesome.

Perfect for an evening stopover, the hotel is located in a quiet village. There is room to park. The room is clean and correct. The restaurant is very friendly, the dishes are very good. The breakfast is very good overall. If I have to add one slightly negative point, access to rooms 101 to 104 is a little narrow with several suitcases. But it's just a detail. I recommend this hotel with my eyes closed.

Very good stopover on our cycling trip. Bike parking in the inner courtyard, perfect. Very good quality of restoration. Air conditioning in the room very nice. Small downside: there are kettles in the hallways, but no cups or coffee/tea...
Superb hotel and great food!
We were not informed about the reduced service in the restaurant before our stay. We had been here 2 years ago and enjoyed our visit. At that time the restaurant was having an Indian set meal, and we were informed about this before hand. This time, however we arrived to find that the restaurant was only open to guests, due the staff being on holiday. This wasn't in its self a problem, but when we went in to eat, we were informed that there was only a set menu, with not choice, other than not to have it. Bearing in mind there is no where else to eat in the village (that I know off) this wasn't really much of a choice. What we had was Ok, but certainly not to our tastes. If we had been informed prior to our visit, we would have booked another hotel, but maybe that's why we were not told.

Charming establishment in a region that is worth a detour for nature lovers. Environmentally friendly establishment. Great breakfast that showcases local produce. Good dinner on the terrace (too bad there is no menu). Our suggestions for improvement: remote control in all the rooms (our did not have one). Provision of cups / tea to be able to use the kettle on the floors. A bathtub is good, but a wall / curtain to be able to take a shower without flooding the bathroom would be even better. WiFi splitters on floors can be finicky. Don't worry, the bell tower just opposite doesn't ring during the night!
The building itself is attractively old and quirky. Our bedroom and large bathroom both comfortable and spotless. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our dinner was delicious and imaginative; breakfast offered a good variety of food. All round, it was a very enjoyable stay. I hope to come again.

Helen, the owner of the restaurant has done an excellent job. This place is fabulous to stay and great food is served. I must appreciate the chefs ability to make gourmet dinner. Very nice discovery during my visit to Yzeures-sur-Creuse Very well renovated hotel, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and pleasant. The restaurant is just as good, my evening stopover dinner was really very good. Elaborate, homemade cuisine. The breakfast is exceptional with homemade yogurts and compotes as well. Presence of ham, cheeses and fruits. In short, I highly recommend and I will come back.
Ideally located on the way of our journeys between the south and the Paris region, this stopover in deep and authentic France is a haven of serenity to recharge your batteries. I particularly recommend this establishment as its qualities are numerous. Nice experience
