Magnificent place and top service

A beautiful castle in a very bucolic setting. It immediately takes you away from it all. The indoor pool is a real plus. There are wonderful walks to be had in the surrounding area.

We had a great time during our 3 days in the region. Marielle and Mathilde were very welcoming and attentive to customer service. The site is magnificent and very peaceful. The food is very good. We will definitely return.

satisfied with our stay the hotel has a large park, a swimming pool and free parking. Good breakfast and friendly staff. The only downside concerns the accessibility of the rooms for elderly or disabled people because there are no elevators and suitcases sometimes have to be carried to the second floor. On the other hand, the room is spacious and well-equipped.

Positive: First of all, I would like to point out that despite the name, this is not a castle, but a mansion with outbuildings. That said, the place is very beautiful and peaceful. It is 30 minutes from Hellfest and 20 minutes from Puy du Fou, which is a very comfortable location for anyone who wants to enjoy both. Negative: Clearly, it was impossible to sleep in our room the first night. Our room was on the 2nd floor under the eaves; it was a real furnace. We only managed to sleep around 3 a.m. once the coolness of the night had fallen. The television light started flashing around 4 a.m.... This woke us up. The only window in the room being a skylight, there is only a curtain attached to the cutaway that lets in the sunlight, as the sun rises at 6 a.m. at this time. No refrigerator or bottled water for a night at over €160, clearly much too expensive given the lack of comfort offered. I went to see the manager the next morning to report all these problems. The response was simple: "The hotel is full and I am not responsible for the heat." I agree on the substance, but welcoming guests into a room at 30° (without exaggerating) knowingly and without putting real means in place is not normal. A means of blocking out the light should have been put in place, but this was not done. Only the television was unplugged at my request. Regarding breakfast, it is sold for €15 per person but does not offer omelets, eggs or a real savory buffet. It is therefore very expensive to eat a pastry and drink a coffee. Furthermore, it is served between 8am and 10am, which is very late for anyone wanting to go to Puy du Fou or just enjoy the whole day. For the evening meal, there is no real restaurant. Dishes are offered but it is necessary to notify in advance and do not expect to eat after 8pm because it is too late. To put it simply, it is up to you to adapt to the schedule of the manager and her team.

A human-sized castle located in a magnificent park. Very quiet in the middle of nature. The indoor swimming pool is superb with an ideal water temperature. The welcome is very warm. Not too far from Puy du Fou, which makes it a very pleasant place to stay.

Ideal for a one-night stay. Near Puy du Fou (25 minutes). Magnificent 90-hectare estate, ideal for daily jogging :) . Breakfast could be improved: limited in terms of salty products (cheese but no eggs or other protein products); no vegetable milk; no 0% or light products. The products offered are fresh (pastries, bread and jams) except fruit juices (supermarket). Dated room decoration.

No glass of water or fruit juice on arrival, it was 38°. No air conditioning in the room, just a modest fan. No refrigerator to store liquids. A wardrobe, no shelves to store shirts or polo shirts. The rest was okay.

Superb place, charming welcome and staff. A little disappointed with the room, very firm bedding, no coffee tray, no small refrigerator, yet very useful with this heat. Very pleasant swimming pool, very good breakfast :-) just missing a toaster :-) I really recommend this place, we had a good stay.

The place is very beautiful, very well maintained park. Quiet. Unfortunately the dinner reservation via the link received did not work and we had to, after many hours of driving, get back in the car and look for a restaurant. Furthermore, the reception was very bad. We felt like we were disturbing. A huge dog that barks and comes towards us too! Bad bedding for the single bed room. Bathroom without glass, cabinet that does not open. Very noisy breakfast with people in the kitchen talking loudly. And what was offered was very average. It's a shame in a pretty place called "mansions and castles" not to have a service and welcome up to par. The setting in good weather saved everything...
