Just perfect! The room was spacious, the bathroom too, the bed very comfortable. The breakfast served in the room at our request was excellent. The little extra, access to the Cheval Rouge car park at a preferential rate thanks to the Marguerite hotel. A BIG THANK YOU for your welcome and the quality of service.

Very friendly and smiling staff. Breakfast could be supplemented by the provision of a toaster. The quality of the "espresso" coffee should be reviewed, it was not made with an espresso machine. The deodorant in the rooms is uncomfortable (the only most noted downside of the hotel), it could be diffused in the common areas but not in the rooms. Especially since it could be a source of allergen risk and health risk for people with lung disease.
Thank you Céline for this very constructive comment 😀. We had already tested the provision of a toaster. Unfortunately, we were forced to remove it because it triggered our fire alarm too often. It is not very pleasant for our guests to have to put up with this noise for five minutes first thing in the morning without us being able to turn it off😉. Our hot drinks machine is a professional machine like we find in many hotels (La Necta Krea). Thanks to this high-performance machine, we prepare ristretto, espresso, café crème, café americano, hot chocolate, cappuccino etc. The coffee beans we use are from the Café Folliet brand, a specialist in roasting and selling coffee. Sorry that it was not to your taste😕. Finally, we thank you for your recommendation regarding the diffusion of our room fragrance. We will be careful to use it sparingly in the rooms and only when necessary👍. When booking, please do not hesitate to inform us of your allergies or anything that could make your stay uncomfortable. Thank you very much for your comment😊. Our breakfast room has 14 place settings. Reservation of a time slot is mandatory upon arrival. We are transparent with you as this information is available on your booking confirmations and on arrival. As our 8.00 a.m. slot was fully booked for 2 days by a group, we were unable to offer you this slot. In fact, it was impossible! I'm really sorry if this wasn't explained sufficiently. So you booked at 8:30 and arrived the same day at 8:08. Of course, no tables were available! You then have 2 solutions: either you wait, or we offer you an alternative! Room service or takeaway! You didn't want to wait and told me you were in a hurry. So I offered you a takeaway breakfast (exactly the same composition as our breakfast served at the table). It's a real pity because if you'd had the patience to wait 10 minutes, you could have taken it in the room as a table had become available at 8.20am !!!!. 😏Regards, Aurélie

Très mitigé. Pas de clim = obligation d'ouvrir les fenêtres et de subir les bruits du parking à l'arrière de l'hôtel pendant toute la nuit. Pas de télécommande dans la chambre, pas de réserve non plus. Accueil intentionné.

Nos chambres disposent d'un ventilateur mais nous réfléchissons à des solutions alternatives plus écologiques que la climatisation et plus confortables qu'un ventilateur pour l'année prochaine. En tant que consommateur, vous êtes prévenus, à chaque étape de votre réservation, que nous ne disposons pas de ce service.
Nous avons retrouvé la télécommande. Un client l'avait embarqué par inadvertance😉

Very poor soundproofing. Street noisee ++ with uber eats drivers outside all night. Had to close door. Room therefore too hot. No fan or AC (didnt expect AC). Kettle no coffee machines in one room. Other room had coffee machine but 2 decaf capsules and one non decaf which failed in the machine. No proper cups anyway just tiny paper cup. Not enough toilet paper....
All in all very very disappointing.

We are sorry that you had to endure the street noise all night. I'm surprised to read that the uber-eat delivery drivers were out all night, even though the restaurants close at 10:00 pm / 11:00 pm for deliveries. Thank you for pointing this out. We'll inform Orléans town hall. Don't hesitate to contact the night watchman (his telephone number is given to you on arrival). He can call the municipal police to stop the noise.
We can also provide a fan on request. We haven't yet installed them in all our rooms, as spring and early summer have been rather cool and rainy.😏 Few customers have asked us for them this year, but many have asked us to remove them (in the rooms where they are installed) to save space in the room. We've taken your comment on board and will install them as a matter of course.
We're here to make your stay as comfortable as possible, providing toilet paper, more coffee capsules of your choice, and unblocking the coffee machine if it's not working. Nespresso machines are only available in our Premium rooms. Other rooms are equipped with kettles. Aurélie

Basic and utilitarian? Our superior rooms have a queen-size bed, desk, courtesy tray, TV with Chromecast, shower room/wc, Wifi. They measure 20m². We are always open to suggestions from our guests 😉. A director (owner) who does not respect her word! Establishment to absolutely avoid.
What a disappointment to read this review a month after the fact... It is advisable to find out about the services offered and how they work before booking in a hotel. You were in a van, it was therefore logical that you would not be able to enter the underground car park with which we have a partnership 😕 Unable to find a place to park in the street, you therefore wanted to cancel your stay free of charge . The Management refused this request since it is then a late cancellation: we charge the amount of one night (refer to our General Terms and Conditions which you accepted when booking with us). Therefore, you have not stayed in our establishment: leaving such a review is therefore very daring! To conclude, the next day, you showed up at the hotel reception during breakfast service, making fun of the receptionist and being unpleasant and rude to the owner. Naturally, we did not want to respond favorably to your request and reiterated our refusal. We don't hold grudges and still wish you a great summer 👍

The advantage of this hotel is also its disadvantage because its location in the city center is ideal for visiting the city but as a result, a room with a window facing the street, even if well soundproofed, remains a little noisy. Right in the city center and in the most pleasant area, 5 minutes from the cathedral and Place du Martroi. Very pleasant premium room, comfortable and polite and friendly staff. In addition with a Nespresso machine (switch to six cartridges instead of four, it will be great for arrival, in the evening and in the morning) Breakfast room too small BUT we can ask for it in your room without any problem which is very pleasant. The price of breakfast is very reasonable and matches the quality and quantity of the service.

It’s true that the Nespresso machine is very easy to use and its coffee is delicious! We supply the courtesy tray with 2 decaffeinated capsules and 2 classic capsules by default. Some customers prefer more herbal teas while others prefer coffee 😏. This is why we are available at reception to adapt our offer to your liking. Do not hesitate to contact us 😉. Quality hotel, very clean, satisfactory welcome. Breakfasts offered in the room, but no small table to place the cups and above all only a seat to sit down to have lunch, a little effort could be made to improve this discomfort at a lower cost. That said, I recommend this hotel, very well located, close to the parking lot and the city center.

I would have liked a breakfast of my choice
I asked for information on how to get to certain places and make my stay easier, but the person told me that it was not Google. When I arrived the person didn't even know where the parking payment terminal was near the hotel. ! Amazing. Otherwise the room is quiet and correct. There are a few little cakes missing near the kettle but….(considering the price it would be nice).
Very nice hotel with a romantic aspect for a romantic weekend. Comfort is present, however the bathtub is no longer up to date, which would make way for a small Italian shower. The staff is most pleasant and smiling. Breakfast is basic with good products but needs to be enriched with some current products (cereal bread, fruit, etc.) without excess. And the most important and rewarding element is its geographical location in the hyper center of Orléans (shops, restaurants, nightclubs, promenade along the Loire, etc.). ...and calm!

Small, cosy, quiet hotel: exactly what I like.
I especially appreciated the water heater in the room, which is not common in European hotels.
What I did not like: no 24-hour presence at the reception desk.
- I had to wait until 15:00 to check in, without being able to leave my luggage at the hotel.
- When coming back late in the evening, I always worried a little, what if the door code or the door mechanism does not work ? It's always better to be sure that there will be no problem to get back in the hotel.
- One never knows whether some guest may make some trouble, and then the hotel guests have to deal with the matter, instead of having a responsible person on-site.

Charming little hotel - nice decoration Our room was spacious and very bright - 4th floor, open view and three windows, which was very nice Clean and practical bathroom The room has a CAST option which allows you to broadcast the TV on the applications on our phone, we appreciated being able to watch our favorite series from bed The bedding was comfortable The possibility of having breakfast in the room - at no additional cost. The service was punctual, and the breakfast was very good and plentiful, at a reasonable price. Possibility to leave luggage at reception upon check-out - at no additional cost. (We left them at 11am, picked up at 5:30pm!!!) Very kind and responsive staff Perfect location - everything was easily accessible on foot We will come back to this hotel on our next visits to the city! However: Old building so soundproofing is not great, but it depends on everyone's sensitivity to noise. (Church bell tower, noise from the elevator, noise from neighbors if they are noisy, etc.) The neighborhood, however, remains very quiet. A little refreshing would be appreciated on certain walls, especially at the bottom of the windows (paint cracking) Shampoo/shower gel dispenser empty on our first night, but the staff was very responsive as soon as we indicated it on next morning

Quality and location was excellent
A centrally located hotel with wonderful staff, breakfast, parking and of course, accommodation. A great base to see Orleans.
1st bedroom TV did not work. The next day the room had not been made up. For the 2nd night we changed rooms, but there was an electrical problem on the left bedside.

Hotel Marguerite met our expectations for a simple hotel close to the center of Orleans. Hotel and room facilities are simple but sufficient for a 1-2 day stay. Breakfast corresponds to normal French standards. The staff was very friendly. The hotel does not have its own garage, but there is a very decent parking garage nearby (around 250 m away) for which there is a discount agreement with the hotel. Unfortunately, since there is no direct access to the hotel to unload your luggage, this can be a bit tedious. Unfortunately the rooms do not have air conditioning. This is quite uncomfortable in the summer heat, even though there is a large mobile fan.
Very hot in the rooms and noisy outside when the window is open: a very difficult equation!

The room has not been renovated, however with very basic furniture, no air conditioning, no minibar. About clean with some grease spots left on one furniture surface and some hair in the towels. Corridor with scraped surface and very old and worn out look, lift with decorative brass frame fixed with brown tape on day one, no frame on day two.
In room 36 room for 2 people there is only one chair but we have requested it for several stays. In the bathroom no cup to brush your teeth. No parking ticket and it is the customer who assumes your lack of foresight. Regular customer I was very disappointed.

A nice little hotel in a very central location. Thanks to the multi-storey car park around the corner, it is also highly recommended as a stop-over with a packed car. The old town and the Loire are within walking distance. The bathroom is adequate, but a bit small for a 4-person room. Beds were very good. Highly recommended despite the very small breakfast area. You can “book” your breakfast time in advance.
Cute little hotel, well located, rooms perfect. No air conditioning, but a fan in the room. Was absolutely fine for us. Nice staff, also breakfast plentiful by French standards with good orange juice, coffee, tea, delicious rolls, croissants and yoghurt, butter cheese jam and honey. We would come back anytime.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. Amenities Location and breakfast corresponded to the description. Therefore five stars. The very convenient and centrally located. Very suitable for an overnight stopover or to visit Orléans in one day.
The reception is very good, the breakfast is good and good (I find the room too small). The room nothing to say apart from the noise of other people in the rooms but otherwise everything was very good. The hotel is well located. You can easily walk to the city center. The hotel offers a parking ticket at €5 per day instead of the basic parking rate. I recommend this hotel :)

Very nice location beneath the downtown and just a few steps the public transportation (Tram Line A).
The only downside is, since there is no climatic control (Which is good for the environment) you have to open the Windows during the evening/night (stayed in July) end therefore you hear all the shouting frenches on the road ;-)
Very conveniently located hotel, good size room, clean, no airconditioning but with efficient ventilator. Staff bery friendly and helpful, good tipps for restaurants. Breakfast was served and was good. Parking at well lit and modern parking garage „Cheval Rouge“ approx 40 m away and was iffered by the hotel at 5 Euros per night - great price!
Very friendly staff, we booked a premium room and a normal one...the normal one was very small but they were both clean.

Overal everything was ok, we found parking at 2 min walk and the hotel is close to multiple restaurants and the old city.
Can’t believe in 2023 that any hotel management finds it acceptable to close reception for 2 hrs from 1-3 in the afternoon.
For breakfast a simple Liptons style breakfast tea would be nice. Like the variety in the room but sometimes simple is best
We have done 1 night. Accommodation is fine but the hotel is quite noisy. There is no AC and I suspect the comforter is synthetic. We were very hot. Breakfast simple but more than enough.
Attentive and courteous staff, the facilities are correct, the cleanliness perfect, the bed and the pillows very comfortable. the only thing I would like to point out is that it seems to me that it is not necessary to change the towels every day (unless of course the client requires it). and it might be interesting, in the middle of the messages we receive at the time of booking, to be informed that breakfast must be booked the day before.

It was warm in the room, no air conditioning, which is a pity, breakfast typical French, jam, slice of pre-packaged cheese, sandwiches and croissant, no restaurant but there are plenty in the area. Parking nearby at 60 meters, positive feeling during stay.

arrived very late and left without the breakfast, so I cannot comment on welcome or breakfast. But very efficient and responsive staff; even after hours it was very easy to access my room. The room was pristine and well updated. I missed an AC (although I had been forewarned).

A typical city centre hotel. It is well located and the staff friendly and helpful. I came to Orleans for a concert and knew a bit about it from an English friend there once. It is a great place, lively and with loads of good bars and restaurants, Rue de Bourgogne area best.
Hotel located in the city center but very quiet. The staff is friendly and smiling, the room and the bathrooms too There is private parking for the car and a LA PIZZA restaurant right next door if you eat there you have a 10% discount as a hotel guest

The room is clean, the bedding comfortable and the breakfast very good (very nice crockery!) which is to be emphasized since the price is below standard (9 euros). I know where I will book during my next stay in Orléans!

Bathroom in its own juice!! No tissue boxes in the bathroom for a so-called "premium" room ☹️ Breakfast room without heating!! (Just acceptable for a lunch) but starting a day without heating puts you in an unpleasant mood 🤮 I wouldn't come back
A hidden gem, close to the city centre, bars and restaurants - There was a degree of refurbishment going on with paint tins etc at entrance but at least they are upgrading.
