We realise that we should have booked a twin bedded room. The double bed was too small, we are used to king size.
The food was tasty in the restaurant.

Very pleasant staff, spacious room (for 4). The street our room faced was noisy. Some furniture or floors are dated but the bedding is of good quality.
Private car park that was locked at night. Lovely warm welcome. Great with the dog, good sized room. The restaurant was very good and great variety to choose from.

A convenient hotel for a one night stop on our way south - three motorcycles travelling together. Met two Germans on motorcycles who were travelling north. Secure gated parking under cover at the rear. Rooms clean and food good. Staff very friendly.
A hotel that has lived…. The dilapidation is felt in places, but the charm is still there. The welcome as well as the meal taken on site were excellent and contributed greatly to our feeling of satisfaction

We had an overnight stop here on our journey up through France, returning to the UK. The hotel is slightly tired; there is a sign apologising for any disruption due to their programme of refurbishment, so maybe things will improve. I was reassured by the fact that the hotel is part of the Logis group, so there is a minimum standard to which all Logis hotels have to meet. The receptionist was very pleasant and check-in was swift. We parked in a secure, off street area at the back of the hotel. Our room was slightly shabby, but furnished with Logis bedding and wardrobes, etc, which was OK. The biggest issue was the lack of AC, as it was particularly hot and humid. There was a fan, which helped... a bit. Dinner, however, in the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. We were attended to by the receptionist lady, who, again, was very amiable. The food itself was very good - menu was varied and the food was impressive, much better than we would have thought, given our initial impression of the hotel. Breakfast too was good - a small buffet but of very good quality.
Bedroom and bathroom very old. Worn bedding. We stayed during the heat wave: a small noisy fan had been installed; impossible to open the window due to traffic. Parking in the courtyard where we found our car covered with pigeon droppings. On the other hand, friendly staff, very good meals, can have a very decent lunch.
Shower not very clean. Only one bedside table.

The hotel needs a very big renovation. Bathrooms are filled with damp and mold
The hotel was clean, relatively comfortable, quiet and easily accessible, however, overall it looks tired and badly in need of a refresh. The entrance area smelt of old fashioned school dinners, which wasn't great. Parking was in front of the hotel which was handy. Staff were courteous and the check in and check out were straightforward.
